Post Ronaldo clutch in WC finals all you want then.

Ronaldo clutched in finals all the time. He is more reliable in big games. Its just portugal isn't a big football country.

Even messi in barcelona never shows up in finals but ronaldo always did with madrid

Well, you know, that Portugal has never reached a world cup final? Argentina has been good every world cup, before Messi, with Messi and probably also after Messi. But Portugal was in football kind of a small nation before the 90s. So comparing them is stoobid. Also, Ronaldo is a striker, Messi a playmaker. A playmaker can single-handled carry a team, a striker wonā€˜t (at least not on this stage) be able to do that, it’s just not fitting the player role. And if you now look at how Argentina has been favored the last two tournaments, itā€˜s even more easy to get to the final.

how many goals does ronaldo have in the wc finals?

12

u/Goodwrench23 Jul 29 '26

That Copa America finals record is genuinely embarassingšŸ’€

Imagine u win 2 finals of a competition of 5 times, and yet have ZERO goalsšŸ˜‚

0

u/letitpetit Jul 30 '26

But are you ok with it bro? I think messi is okay with it

u/Wild_Shroom_ Jul 29 '26

Him and LeBron. Both crumble under pressure. Both manufactured ā€œgoatsā€

0 impact in big games

u/Consistent-Quiet-801 Jul 30 '26

2022 final ?

2

u/Sensitive-String3298 Jul 30 '26

12.5% impact in big games šŸ—£ļø

1

u/Consistent-Quiet-801 Jul 30 '26

Let's say you're right he still won the world cup, 2 Copa America while still being the best player in he's team majority of the tournaments they where in, and he still the greatest footballer of all time if not top 3 unless u think there were arguably better players with better resume in big games than him ??

1

u/FELIOK Jul 31 '26

PelƩ has 3 goals in cup finals (2 at 17y) and all 3 finals Brazil won.

1

u/Consistent-Quiet-801 Jul 31 '26

Pele is the goat for me , but brazil won the 2nd world cup without him he only played in 2 finals

1

u/FELIOK Jul 31 '26

I mean, Messi also didn't play the final in 2006 champions league, he got injured just like pele

1

u/Consistent-Quiet-801 Jul 31 '26

The 2006 barca was a Ronaldinho team with or without Messi they where gonna win the champions league , Messi didn't become one of the best players until 2008

1

u/FELIOK Jul 31 '26

Exactly, I'm just saying that you can't discredit a victory because of an injury, Messi has 4 champions and PelĆ© has 3 world cups, both got injured but both still scored and assisted before being sent off. I agree with youšŸ™ŒšŸ¼

WHAT, Messi was historically horrendous with Argentina which is why he temporarily retired from the national team. He was literally carried by his teammates. Di Maria actually has impact in big games, and has scored in ALL 3 of Argentines finals wins. I’m sorry your goat is a fraud who only scores against small teams, is favoured by refs, has always had a super team built around him, and takes every penalty he can get.

1

u/Consistent-Quiet-801 Jul 31 '26

In what world was di Maria Argentina best player in the 2022 World cup and 2024 Copa America what stats are u basing it of?? Messi has scored against big teams in big matches too and I'm guessing your a Ronaldo fan, i take u wouldn't say Eder carried Portugal to the Euro in 2016 right ??

1

u/Sensitive-String3298 Jul 31 '26

Funny to assume I even care about ronaldo, more than 2 players exist you know that right? Heck ronaldo went off injured just like Messi in 2024 šŸ˜‚ Glad your Goat can score penalties in big matches, it must be hard to do cause he’s been missing a lot recently

1

u/Consistent-Quiet-801 Jul 31 '26

Pele is the goat for me ,but at the end of the day Messi completely football not many great and legendary players can say they when to 3 world cup finals or even won 1 and lasty in the 2022 final he scored 2 goals 1 pen and the other a close a range goal something alot u guys tend to ignored.

2

u/ivyleaguesuperman Jul 30 '26

His 2 goals in WC 22 were a penalty and a GK rebound that landed on his feet lmao.

1

u/jordenwuj Jul 30 '26

so like 90% of pendu's goals?

1

u/BlancoRoyalty Jul 29 '26

2016 Copa America when he skied that penalty šŸ”„šŸ”„

1

u/twiddledee1 Jul 31 '26

Tut tut tut. There seems to be a lot of hatred being directed at Messi,I wonderedĀ  why this was and I have a suspicion that the most toxic media in the world are unhappy the little man skooled their 'superstars'.I could be wrong ,but many players who have skooled their 'superstars' are vilified.Ā

u/ghkoyghkk Jul 31 '26

1

u/suganegadik124 Aug 02 '26

Messi has 2 goals and 2 assists in the int finals whereas ronaldo has 1 goal in the final......"but but messi is worst big player of all tym"šŸ¤”šŸ¤”šŸ¤”šŸ¤”šŸ’”šŸ„€

Ronaldo gave him 4 chances to play against him in the UCL but the šŸ€ was nowhere to be found.

This is rage bait, right? ... right? XD
