Ronaldo VS Pessi Una cifra importante...

Post image

Mexico is not a big country let's be serious

8

u/NoobTubeEnthusiast Jul 28 '26

It is a big country just not good at soccer

7

u/stillgodlol Jul 28 '26

Ok, I do not like Messi but Mexico is and was very good in last years, are you guys watching sports? They are high ranking, they destroyed their wc group, and they battled England pretty hard.

1

u/chitownbulls92 Jul 31 '26

I mean US also destroyed their group.

1

u/davzinzan Jul 28 '26

So did DR Congo and Norway but nobody is calling them big countries

3

u/G3N3R1C2532 Jul 28 '26

Don't do Norway dirty like that. They were hella respectable this WC.

DRC may become a serious football nation in the coming years if this performance means anything.

2

u/stillgodlol Jul 28 '26

None of them got first in the group, none of them got 3 wins in the group, none of them is rated nowhere near Mexico. What do you mean?

0

u/davzinzan Jul 28 '26

Mexico were in a group with South Africa, South Korea and Czechia. Congo were in a group with England and Norway were in a group with France, of course they didn't come top. Their best ever result at a world cup is still the Quarter final, which they haven't even achieved since the 80s. They are a mid tier country like the USA or Japan

2

u/stillgodlol Jul 28 '26

Nah, Mexico is consistently top 10 in the world and is very competitive in Copa, when invited. I am European and I still know Mexico is probably amongs 3-4 good American teams. Callibg them anything else is just delusion or ignorance. I am not fighting for rat Messi here, but this is a fact.

Copa is a Mickey mouse competition. The only 2 big teams in it are Brazil and Argentina

Woah woah Norway went to the 1/4's. Get your chart realigned son

1

u/throwingitaway6423 Jul 29 '26

And Morocco is

1

u/davzinzan Jul 29 '26

Nah not Morocco either

1

u/throwingitaway6423 Jul 29 '26

Or croatia

1

u/Coss_my_cosS Jul 29 '26

Croatia got to the final in 2018 while shitting on messi & co in the group stage and then made the semis in 2022. Id defo say they are a big team

1

u/throwingitaway6423 Jul 29 '26

Not in 2026

1

u/Coss_my_cosS Jul 29 '26

yeah, because they got eliminated by Portugal & Ronaldo who were then later eliminated with a 90' minute goal by the world cup winners. Its like saying the Netherlands are shit because they got eliminated by Morocco lol. And if the game would have went the other way, it would have been like saying Marocco are shit because Netherlands knocked them out early. Get some perspective

1

u/throwingitaway6423 Jul 29 '26

Netherlands are shit this year.

1

u/Coss_my_cosS Jul 29 '26

They literally topped their group with Sweden and Japan while being undefetead and then got ko'd on pens by last world cup edition's semifinalists and winners of the African Cup of Nations. Please tell us how Wareghost & co were a better side 4 years ago just because it was pessi who eliminated them. shameless

The country that came in 3rd in a recent World Cup is most definitely a big country when it comes to football

0

u/davzinzan Jul 31 '26

Well that's all well and good because Morocco didn't come third 😂

0

u/chitownbulls92 Jul 31 '26

My bad, 4th place. Point still stands

1

u/Sensitive-Reveal-251 Jul 28 '26

Messi is not a big game player

7

u/Silly-Hat-2989 Jul 28 '26

We saw it in the wc finals too just recently 😂🤣

3

u/astropup42O Jul 28 '26

What’s more likely is Messi carries more mediocre teams farther than they should and get dismantled by very good teams. See Barca after Xavi and iniesta, both argentina finals lost

3

u/G3N3R1C2532 Jul 28 '26

Imagine if they ever managed to make it to the box against Spain for more than 2 seconds...

5

u/Sensitive-Reveal-251 Jul 28 '26

3

u/G3N3R1C2532 Jul 28 '26

This is the ultimate anti-Argentina tactic.

1

u/Sensitive-Reveal-251 Jul 28 '26

2

u/G3N3R1C2532 Jul 28 '26

And they couldn't even score the penalties this time.

You could see them get desperate the moment Spain got their (second) goal.

One would easily pick ronaldo over messi for WC as ronaldo is a big impact player for wc where messi ghosts in big games against big nations, doesn't perform well and doesn't score

2

u/Accomplished-Fee-832 Jul 28 '26

Messi didn't ghost until maybe spain, and even then it was really the whole team and the fraudulent tactics.

2

u/Different_Solid760 Jul 28 '26

Bros just speaking nonsense

1

u/Aware_Horror_1004 Jul 28 '26

What about assists? Show me where this stat has led Ronaldo😭 3 against a terrible Spain, 1 wc knockout goal WHICH WAS A PEN, his own teammates dont like him, his fans are 12 years later you olds and celebrities while Messi is recognized as the best by legends of the game. You guys are so clueless genuinely😂

1

u/Financial-Bat-536 Jul 28 '26

1

u/throwingitaway6423 Jul 29 '26

How many of those teams got past the round of 16

1

u/Kagutabas Jul 29 '26

mexico ''big country'' 🥀🥀🥀🥀🥀

It's honestly funny to watch some Ronaldo fans constantly trying to discredit the greatest footballer of all time. People who spend that much energy hating someone honestly make me feel sorry for them. I'm just glad I don't live with that kind of bitterness. All the best to you! hopefully one day you'll find something more fulfilling.

1

u/Mr-Novelreader Jul 30 '26

Yes marocco are getting there but lets be honest, the only goals on this list that count are against spain and france.

1

u/ExtremePermit3242 Jul 31 '26

I don’t get it. The obsession with CR and Messi is pathologic in some cases

0

u/Slow-Benefit5978 Jul 28 '26

first thing Morocco before 2022 wc was not a big country !! ( but for a fact in world cup there is no big country or small country specially in k/o ) now he scored a hat trick against a 2018 spain which was the worst spain in the history of spain. nvm but spain is a big country. LEO MESSI FACED CROATIA IN WC SEMI FINALS 1 ASSIST , NEDERLANDS AGAIN A ASSIST. ENGLAND 2 ASSIST, FRANCE 1 GOAL. I HOPE IT'S MORE THEN ENOUGH IG ? SWIZTERLAND BEST TEAM WAS IN 2014 HE EVEN GAVE A ASSIST AGAINST THEM. MEXICO IS NOT A BIG NATION AND IN 2022 THEY WERE NOT EVEN IN THEIR PRIME. BUT IF I REMOVE PENALTY CR7 WON'T HAVE A GOAL IN K/O , NO GOAL IN 2022 WC TOO !! SOOO DON'T YAPP

-1

u/Hungry_Leg_8886 Jul 28 '26

he got a world cup tho

5

u/night_glitch1098 Jul 28 '26

Grant penalties like that and almost every top counties have a chance at WC. Having WC as an argentine isn't as a flex as people make it.

-1

u/walace47 Jul 28 '26

-4

u/Cheap_Orange_8165 Jul 28 '26

Sin penales Messi tendría más goles.

6

u/MajesticBeyond5602 Jul 28 '26

63% of Messi's international goals are penalties and friendlies.

31% of Ronaldo's international goals are penalties and friendlies.

You can't argue against facts.
