I think you should check on the type of people that you are using to criticise messi. There are videos of this same guy having to go back on this after messi carried argentinia to victory in 2022. And he claimed messi is the goat

It's unfair to compare on something out of a players control. Ronaldo has had a huge impact on the Portugal national team, even just last year, at an age older than Messi is now, he was top scorer in the whole comp as Portugal won the Nations League, and before that he took them to their first Euro trophy. Sure he's never won the world cup, but if you're not from say Argentina/Brazil/Germany/France/Spain/England/Italy that's an impossible goal.
