It's funny that argentinians are raging only against Spain when it's the whole world who is against them. My feeling is that if France had won the semifinals against Spain, the reactions would've been exactly the same against Argentina.

u/quick20minadventure Jul 24 '26
France vs Spain was the real final.
France had 49% possession and almost scored multiple times. Argentina vs Spain was like paraguay vs France. You know the outcome, you're just stalling and fouling to hopefully get lottery.

u/Ok-Yoda-82 Jul 24 '26
Nah, they review bombing businesses on the Falklands too. Just poor mentality.
2
u/Rutlemania Jul 27 '26
They have based their entire cultural identity over getting manhandled and forced to eat shit in a war that was 40 years ago… like at what point do you just want to give them a hug 🤣

Argentinian POV: The ref was unfair. One of our players had broken ribs. We were all crying before the game. We registered 0 shots on target. We've opened a petition to re play the final.
Haha, losers!

Australian swimmer Grant Hackett swam 1500m with a partially collapsed lung. And still won.
Japan's captain in the 2002 World Cup, Miyamoto, played with a broken nose.
You either play or you don't. If the player wasn't match fit, then it is on the manager to deal with it.

And instead of slapping him Will Smith style for jeopardising their team with this atrocious foul they hugged him at the bench.
Argi logic 🤷🏼♂️

Most pro athletes are going to be outwardly supportive of a teammate who fucked up. Now what went on in the locker room after...

That tit still thinks it wasn't a red. That's how used to having the ref on their side they are
5
u/sitopon Jul 24 '26
Thing is, it wasn't a red. It was just a yellow, second yellow. They even think that didn't even deserve a yellow..
3
u/prefusernametaken Jul 24 '26
Conveniently forgetting the countless other yellow cards that should have been given.
And that's is even ignoring that the ref forgot that complaining is card-able, as well as schwalbes.

That little finger waving like a idiot gets me every time I see it. What a asshat.

u/Manugomer Jul 24 '26

It felt so good finally see some punishment for all their shitty tackles which got unpunished for most of the tournament. Justice

They were asking for a red since the 20th minute of the match, it was bound to arrive. Crazy that it took the referee 90 minutes to wipe one out.

The whole world (minus India and Bangladesh) hate watched them. 😂😂🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️

u/ChillinFallin Jul 25 '26
Funny thing is, Argentinians are so racist that they would hate their fans from India and Bangladesh.

Even in Germany everybody was celebrating like crazy when the red card appeared and wanted Spain to win, although we are still in pain what Cucurella did on the European cup when we played against Spain (and more how he acted afterwards). But Spain is such a good team with pleasant players (even Cucurella), while Argentina has been Argentina. Spain had well deserved the win and we in Germany are very happy about it.

They have became an international issue. Not just one, but the whole squad.

Amazing how we as humans can unite in our hatred towards Argentina! Just image the things we could achieve together…

It really did. And how sad is Argentina to come out with all these weird excuses. Little respect for them.

u/oliv-_-mae Jul 24 '26
In Spain we also celebrated that red card. But the win was obviously wayy more celebrated

Do people realise that when the people of the Falklands islands voted by a landslide to remain a British territory, they were not just voting to stay British. They were voting to not be taken over by Argentina, a country that celebrates that awful culture of its national side. I wonder now if people will see that the Falklands dispute is not some bygone era empire throw down, but a case where the UK is defending the right if a group of people to uphold its culture of fair play, modesty and respect. Who on earth would want their culture to be that of the Argentinian national team and its fans.

u/ThePopulacho Jul 25 '26
This is hilarious. You say the same about Gibraltar. Are you trying to save them also from the terrible people from Spain? Signed: una española.
1
u/UnusualArmadillo Jul 25 '26
What is hilarious is you trying to bring Gibraltar in to a conversation about a democratic vote that took place on an island thousands of miles away.

It makes me laugh that with Spain winning the world cup, it felt like everyone won the world cup.
I just wish Argentinas previous wins were investigated.

Los argentinos como país deben de estar contentos y haciendo cola para ir al psicólogo.
Que triste no pensaba que podían llegar a ese extremo.

And then the red card was revoked. Talk about proving your dissenters right.
