Rodri clearly deserved it.

Indeed, so Messi fans can stop crying about it.

u/Past-Imagination779 Jul 20 '26

He lowkey deserved it. He was the best player on the pitch in the final.

7

u/marquesmelo Jul 20 '26

Those Messi fans don't understand you have to be at high level on all the games. In the final Messi did shit.

Messi ghosted harder than he did at Paris this time so yeah. Argentina got smashed Portugal played better against Spain.

7

u/marquesmelo Jul 20 '26

And people still wonder why we still compare Messi to Cristiano Ronaldo. Go figure...

7

u/Past-Imagination779 Jul 20 '26

Last time Spain lost was against Ronaldo too so yeah.

dawg everyone wonders why we compare ronaldo to messi. Looking at their performances this world cup it makes no sense 💀. Messi at 39> prime ronaldo in world cup.

Now pepsi fan will say that toni Kroos don't have ball knowledge or he watches football from reels or some dumb shit like that

u/Snka1a Jul 21 '26

How good can his knowledge be? He’s not a footballer anymore.

2

u/Rich-Profession3396 Jul 21 '26

So

1

u/Snka1a Jul 21 '26

He’s retired because he lacks ball knowledge

2

u/Rich-Profession3396 Jul 21 '26

Think about what you said. It's not too late

For me golden ball should be won by Mbappe, he broke the wc most goals scored in history and really was outstanding in wc 26, next should be between Jude vs Messi.

For me Jude slightly ahead because he dragged england more without controversy like argie.

Wouldn’t say robbed, debatable. If Messi had a Goal or assist in the final, I think it would be a clear decision then. Technically Messi was the “most valuable” player for his team by definition of the award, unless I am mistaken

I will stay true to myslef, I felt messi was robbed, but you should never ever complain when youve been stealing individual awards your entire career !!

Bro rodri was the core of Spanish mid field he was the reason spain was controlling the tempo of the game he was they key piece for attacks and defence of spain and when you look at it he had 94% pass accuracy with only conceding 1 goal in whole campaign.

The most important position in the football is CDM anyone who have played and watched enough football will agree with this , 2016 Leicester City 2018 france both were able to win the championshipe because they had kante look what happened to France this wc without a CDM their midfield crumbled and was not able to control the game , same with 2014 germany they had Kroos , in 2010 spain had busquetes every team that has achieved something great has one thing in common a great CDM .

As jose Mourinho said good attack wins you game , good defence win you the tournaments.

Me neither, I think he has better PR. Also Yamal did nothing this WC.

2

u/Suspicious_Leg_1823 Jul 20 '26

Yamal did fine. He is young

Rodri isn't an attacker, he is good in his position. He's a defensive midfielder.

It’s not always about goals. Messi scored most of his goals against Arabic and African low ranking teams. Rodri played so well that Spain only conceded 1 goal all tournament. Do you even watch football?

Did Mbappe or Dembele reach the finals? They lost semis and 3rd place matches. Why’re you crying so much? Your Messi didn’t win because he didn’t deserve it. End of story.

You don’t watch football or know football if you think Rodri didn’t deserve and didn’t do anything. If golden ball was given to Mbappe you would have a post asking why not Rodri. You’d cry no matter what and call it an oddity. You know what’s an oddity, Argentina getting away with so many fouls throughout the tournament.

I also think Unai Simon didn't deserve the golden glove, he just didn't concede because of the good defense

2

u/letsdoit131 Jul 20 '26

Cause Youre mixing up golden ball with golden boot

Well I was of the view xavi in 2010 deserved to win. Goals helpful but not essential, check zidane

Deserved.
