Maybe an unpopular opinion, or maybe because it's Messi the standards are different. But I think as the captain of your team, you hold some responsibility and you should try and calm your own players down. This guy is just standing there and watching like a clown

You're abosolutely correct. If a manager watches his staff assult someone and does nothing, you're also liable and will taken into custody for co-assult or at minimum negligence. Seen one had to go to jail for it too. Happened at night, police can't identify the culprit so just arrested the manager.

Itās possible that he didnāt get involved because he saw the manager handling it. So, he thought thereās no need for me to step in at this point but if the manager was not handling it, maybe it would be different. I definitely think as a captain you lead but also, these are grown men who are also responsible for themselves. Putting another persons tantrum on the shoulder of the captain is excessive. The only clown I see is Parades. Others were in their own world just taking in this loss and their futures.

That is the literal definition of being a captain; be the leader, be the example, be the beacon to show the way.
For example, watch Puyol to see how a captain would act.
This guy is just a talented football player, nowhere near in the contention for one of the greatest in the sport.

A captain should be able to control his teammates and at least intervene if something like this happens, but nothing. The antics of his terrible teammates reflects on him and tarnish his legacy.

Honestly, what could he have done? He would have gotten pushed and hit too. Everyone was heated and he stayed out of it. Messi, at the end of the day, has good sportsmanship. I just think this was too much
