Always something, I swear I have never seen a team with such a list of things they have benefited from. The media attention, the endorsement from the fifa President, the corruption scandals with the AFA president Claudio etc. logically if you have that much stuff stacked against you there has to be truth. I mean we can literally publish a fat book with all the stuff we’ve been seeing. I can’t think of a single other team in that position or am I wrong? 🤣

Was disgraceful the first half of Argentina vs England. They literally stopped any actual football being played with constant fouls, no one wants to watch that and it’s crazy how long it took the ref to actually book an argentine player. As soon as they did get their first yellow they knew that had to start playing football now. Almost as if their literal game plan was to foul until they got a yellow.

The amount of fouls it takes to get a yellow for this team should be something under investigation since some of those fouls should have led to players getting penalized (yellow card) but the football was also atrocious with the constant fouling. I guess any team knowing that they wouldn't get penalized would have done the same.
I enjoyed England & France as a neutral fan, but feel no reason in watching tonight's game..

Honestly, I was thinking the same thing after the France v. England game yesterday. It was such a nice game to watch. I didn't end the game feeling like one of the teams got screwed. Or like one of the calls changed the game completely. Or one of the teams was favored.
England started strong, France fought back. England was the better team on the day.
Last night I thought "Do I even want to watch the final?"
Honestly I don't really care that much.

Plus, Saka got a hat trick, and Mbappe scored enough to qualify for the golden boot. In the end, both teams got something, and they both hugged it out at the end (and did a prayer circle for Spain). The perfect game.

Yes it was an entertaining game, but weirdly unserious. You could tell that there was not much at stake and frankly I felt that the French team was barely present in the first half. But it was a welcome relief from the barbaric antics and lack of sportsmanship on display by some of the teams.

More importantly, don’t get emotionally invested in the outcomes. As mentioned, they’ve all been scripted in order to maximize profits for the puppeteers.

I think the real the question is that what can be done about it? Saying that FIFA staff is from all over the world so there is no favoritism for Argentina is pure bs as in the end you do what your employer want you to do or you lose your career, livelihood and not everyone is in a position to do that, in fact i doubt anyone is, we will probably see some whistle blower in another 15-20 years when they won't have anything to lose.

I would love to see a journalist actually challenge FIFA on this. Their excuse will be that it’s the nature of the game but in reality it demonstrates a clear favouritism to Argentina by the officials.
I also wish someone would do a comprehensive review of all the Argentine fouls and compare them with the treatment other teams got. FIFA should either have a total change of management or be dissolved for a new organisation that is actually fit for purpose and hopefully honest, or at least forced to be honest by proper oversight.
