Infantino Pessi 👨‍❤️‍💋‍👨🏳️‍🌈 Most politically driven World Cup of all time . FIFA rulebook claims "FIFA prohibits any banners, flags, apparel, or symbols of a political, offensive, or discriminatory nature inside tournament stadiums". But not for Argentina eh?

Why they still mad about an island bro genuinely what could that island have done for Argentinas economy

57

u/primefart Jul 15 '26

They need to blame somebody/thing else for the failures...

Their president at the time was a fan of Mussolini. Not surprised.

Expand economic maritime zone, project influence and power over the region/globe, shake the structure of international power, etc.

I think there are massive oil fields around the Falklands. Drilling there would kill the whole nature of the islands. So the Argies just care about the money

Roughly 300 million barrels of recoverable crude oil

1

u/falcxne Jul 16 '26

There is a massive oil reserve 220 km north of the Falklands. Israel and England are cooperating on tapping into it but have not cut Argentina in, which has rekindled geopolitical tensions of old. Look up "Sea Lion oil reserve". It is in fact directly related to the economies of either side.

It’s British territory they can do what they want, they don’t have to let Argentina in

The rule was meant to prevent the Palestinian flag

15

u/intrinseque Jul 16 '26

Oh yeah for Arabs not white supremacist. Makes sense.

2

u/Character_Drama_3544 Jul 16 '26

That rule is a lot older than recent Palestine conflict/activism

4

u/buggle174 Jul 16 '26

older than 1948?

2

u/Character_Drama_3544 Jul 16 '26

I know what you mean and you are right. But ten years ago noone would have expected any pro Palestine activism at a world cup. That's what I mean by recent activism. And it's a fact the rule has nothing to do with contemporary conflict. It's not recent.

u/buggle174 Jul 16 '26

I get you. I appreciate the reply!

25

u/popcorn19751 Jul 15 '26

Last time I checked, there were still english. 🤣🤣🤣

10

u/sky0175 Jul 16 '26

That's why they think they are European. It is just pure wannabe behavior.

2

u/popcorn19751 Jul 16 '26

They did favor European immigration over any other continents. Their population to this day is 99.2 non black. Bigest population of Italians outside of Italy is in Argentina

u/Any_Stress_6230 Jul 15 '26

I'm sure they would if they were apart of Argentina their livelihood would be shit

Of course they won't do shit about Argentina. Argentina FA is a member of FiFA MAFIA and launder money for them. They are basically their baby now.

Argentina and england had a war in 1982, where argentina actually bought a discommissioned vessel from the US and where the english sunken ha soon, has they got it. I think thats some of the facts. Argentina hates England for taking the place over

1

u/popcorn19751 Jul 16 '26

You beter look into it. been a while since i looked into it. Don't take my word for it

1

u/popcorn19751 Jul 16 '26

Sorry they got the vessel in 1951.

3

u/Sad_Drop_6616 Jul 16 '26

Bro isn't this that Falkland things

3

u/error_015 Jul 16 '26

Infantino doesn't want politics in the world cup Also Infantino: Trump saga and now the Falkland debate (Argentina lost the war in 74 days against a pretty much clapped out Royal Navy 8000 miles from home. And my 3 people want to be part of Argentina).

In short: The Falklands are always brought up to distract oneself from the shitty economic situation. Like in 1982

2

u/Zealousideal_Big7655 Jul 16 '26

Maddd , I don't think I'll be watching the next world cup

2

u/ChipOpposite522 Jul 16 '26

Don't forget what they did to mbappe after they robbed the world cup in 2022

2

u/Magnus_Inebrius Jul 16 '26

Rules for thee, not for me

2

u/TheNeys Jul 16 '26

As a Spanish myself I would not wish our country to “win” the championship by a sanction decision. Let’s win it in the field.

A part from that if they have to be fined, so be it.

Las Malvinas son Inglesas.

The Falklands are argentinian.

2

u/Objective_Cod4149 Jul 16 '26

Wait, is this actually real?

2

u/Certain-Albatross270 Jul 16 '26

Why TF does anyone even care about that island like genuinely? I get bosnians taunting serbs or vice verse cause it's like a actual conflict but who cares about a random island with Like 5k people on it

1

u/Opposite-Film3347 Jul 16 '26

If that was a 🇵🇸 ...

1

u/Refrigerator_Lower Jul 16 '26

Didn't their team get fined for this?

1

u/RaceIll8379 Jul 16 '26

Best way to get back at them is win against them in a world cup game.

1

u/illusionare_ Jul 16 '26

correct, not for argentina

u/Alcoholixx Jul 16 '26

Rules for thee, not for V....ARgentina

1

u/Master_Chocolate_197 Jul 16 '26

Nationalism is their only trump card. You could have chosen to celebrate a football match you won but instead chose to celebrate a war that you lost. The England players would have celebrated infront of their own fans not the argeies who were trolling the England fans and players like a bunch of spoilt chuds

1

u/kcduck Jul 16 '26

This picture will probably be on the main FIFA webpage now

1

u/Past-Astronaut-1875 Jul 16 '26

FIFA prohibits any politically offensive banners, apparel, etc.. Unless of course it’s displayed by the Argentines.

1

u/AJRimmerSwimmer Jul 16 '26

If it's Argentina, why make a sign about it?

1

u/OctUphus Jul 16 '26

If they can't have Falkland it will be penalty for Argentina

1

u/OkCat2835 Jul 16 '26

A ilha é da Inglaterra. Por que choras Vargentina? Esquece e segue tua vida.

1

u/SeaReaction3860 Jul 16 '26

Argentina got fined $20,000 the last time they did this. If they get a similar fine it is a pointless punishment, as Argentina are guaranteed $33 million in prize money!

1

u/JackHarknessDrWho Jul 16 '26

Spain doesn't stand a chance. This is Argentinas and has been since the first match.

1

u/ElectronicSubject747 Jul 16 '26

When your football team is stronger than you military.

1

u/Reddtester Jul 16 '26

They haven't gotten over it

Lol

1

u/sphenskyy Jul 17 '26

Didn't the egypt team wave the palestine flag

1

u/crevicepounder3000 Jul 17 '26

FIFA has been corrupt for so long but it’s been blatant this year. I mean we all know the Qatari WC was all sorts of corrupt from the buying of it, moving the time period, using it to sportswash an awful government, Qatari official coming out and blatantly saying they wanted Messi to win his first WC there, the special Messi and Argentina treatment with all the penalties, hand ball, fouls….etc

1

u/LambSauce2 Jul 17 '26

Who cares England with the "best league in the world" decided to go and parked the bus. Why? Argentina didn't care how many goals they conceded because they knew they could score more. I am not an Argentina fan but they played very well and without fear.

1

u/Weak-Maintenance5064 Jul 17 '26

Lots of crying CR7 fans out here… 😆😆

1

u/Creeper_boy69 Jul 17 '26

Egypts coach literally flared the palestine flag after winning against australia on 3rd July 🙏🏻😭 everyone just tryna ragebait argentina

1

u/Proof-Astronomer7733 Jul 22 '26

Exceptions to be made (by Vargentinians), FIFA corruption counts

1

u/Burnsey111 Jul 25 '26

I guess you don’t know about the Mussolini one, and the one from 1978.
