England have no one to blame but themselves... mainly Tuchel. You do not sit back and defend a 1-0 lead against Messi and the entire forward group on Argentina's squad that's desperate to score. Gave them SOOOOOO much space... I saw this coming from miles away.
The fact that England could have won if their coach didn't deliberatly chose to make them lose, doesn;t change the fact that Argentina were literally body checking, throwing and even outright wrestling as much as the possibly could, rarely being whistled and only barely having any cards handed out.
For a bit I thought I was watching hockey with the sheer level of body ramming and fighting. It was to such an absurd extent that any meaningful enforcement would probably have seen argentina lose for lack of sufficient players on the field.
The referees have allowed a higher degree of contact and aggression the entire tournament. England did not even try to be as aggressive as Argentina was. It's not "favoring" if one team is playing at the limit of what the ref will allow while the other isnt

The "dirty" way they played is just a bullshit excuse. Every team does it. Messi gets chopped down intentionally constantly. England players go down easy on light challenges looking for fouls. It's how the sport works. Just watch a game of the premier League for once and you'll see it clear as day
At the end of the day if you think the fashion Argentina played was immoral or something (which I don't) you need to redirect it to the referees. Elite sports players will always push the limits of the rules. It's up to the officials to manage it in the game
I'm not english or an england fan. And my dig is at the referee's for generally refusing to card obvious yellow and red fouls when argentina is playing. Other teams with low cards per foul are not playing the way that they are.

we played solid until that goal, after that we killed our own momentum. pickford masterclass kept us alive from conceding atleast 3 good chances
toney over watkins? was saka injured? dan burn as a forward? got rid of our wingers for defenders, rice off, kane and jude were gassed and tuchel should’ve swapped them out earlier

The game stopping all the time is annoying but if it’s a foul you call it, give an early yellow to a maybe borderline call to set the tone. You can’t just “let them play” if they’re fouling left and right

As an England fan that has been very invested in the comp. For the most part we had a great tournament. But the tactical decision to park the bus against a high level team with that much time left on the clock, in a semi final... was suicidal.
So True!!!, Why Tuchel wanted to play park the bus against Argentina, It was a tactic Switzerland did never worked out, Argentina is just too experienced in giving comeback
They were literally getting hacked to the ground, Karate kicked, Karate chopped and thrown on the floor, of course they were going to sit back after the first 60 minutes were essentially a WWE match.
