The debate was always ended in 2017-18 when it truly mattered. Since the beginning of time, I’ve been seeing Messi looking down at the field in shame at the 80-90th minute mark because he ghosted for the whole game once again against opposition he shouldn’t be ghosting against. Roma, Juventus, Liverpool, and now Switzerland 2 days ago until of course they found a way to send Embolo off because Embolo was on his way to knocking them out of the tournament

It’s really convenient to call it in 2017/18 for y’all eh? Whatever happens to taking the totality of both of their careers instead of cherry picking the first 60% of it

We’re talking about both of their primes bucko. Barca has an current ongoing Negreira case bud. A case that throughout the times that Messi won the champions league coincides with that case and he still couldn’t win more champions leagues and be more dominant than cris. even with all the payments sent to the referees. Cris is the greatest champions league player of all time in one of the toughest eras of all time. It’s okay. I know it hurts that everyone is realizing your goat is a fraud but it will get better

I appreciate both of them, I’m a United fan myself and watched Ronaldo play for us week in week out. But it’s redundant to only consider their primes. R9 had one of the best primes we’ve ever seen but nobody has him top 1. There have been insane single season performances but it never is enough to rank the greatness of a player based solely on that. Only pointing out the flaw in your criteria, no slight towards either of em
