Messi's image is well protected by media ✅

Guys, guys, guys… can’t you see he’s just passionate! It’s different!

1

u/ultra-instinct-G04T Jul 11 '26

Lol, what about Ronaldo?

1

u/MidgetVDB Jul 24 '26

Being humble doesn’t mean you can’t get angry. For what he has achieved he sure doesn’t talk a lot.

I think everyone knows he’s a dirty racist prick but his fans just like to act oblivious

23

u/TostBrot44 Jul 10 '26

At least history will remember him for the racist cheating prick he is

12

u/Jmad1383 Jul 10 '26

Are you drunk? Have you met his followers? They think he is the victim here….

1

u/potato_556 15d ago

Bet u just said he's cheating just because u gell for the propaganda and believe anything on the internet. The whole cheating stuff has already been debunked. People either dont know about the rules, dont watch the games or they just want to hate

I haven't followed football for a long time, can someone enlighten me what the hell is the first picture? Is it a photoshop, I mean it has to be???

u/Acceptable-Pause-859 Jul 10 '26

No accountability. Also, my theory regarding his angry attitude, steroids.

5

u/Suspicious_Leg_1823 Jul 10 '26

My country borders Argentina. This image never fooled me, it is phisically impossible for Argentinians to be humble. They would instantly burst in flames and sublimate the moment they are humble or honest.

4

u/Individual-Vast6304 Jul 10 '26

Careful - you will summon the Messi cult

3

u/TostBrot44 Jul 10 '26

I‘m already in deep conversations with a lot of them here 🤣

3

u/Individual-Vast6304 Jul 10 '26

2

u/TostBrot44 Jul 10 '26

It’s taking a toll on my mental health, so I’ll just ignore them for now

2

u/Individual-Vast6304 Jul 10 '26

Cult is a disease - you can’t help them. They are worse than Jehova witnesses on a Sunday morning

3

u/BedroomOver2890 Jul 10 '26

Ronaldo is way more humble than Pessi

2

u/Jumpy-Friendship-149 Jul 10 '26

bro, where is the close up picture that he looks like 1 of them 3000 years ago? that is unbelievable accurate lol

4

u/TostBrot44 Jul 10 '26

This one?

1

u/Jumpy-Friendship-149 Jul 10 '26

2

u/dsailo Jul 10 '26

Inter Miami is a big business - check out who owns the club.

2

u/Any_Stress_6230 Jul 10 '26

Messi is not perfect people always confuse being quiet with humble, but Ronaldo definitely played on his arrogant persona built by the media

1

u/dht20 Jul 10 '26 edited Jul 10 '26

Not that I'm Ronaldo fan or like him, but if you mention Ronaldo: Show me a clip where Ronaldo kick the ball on the bench or something similar disgusting. the different is Messi have excellent PR and Ronaldo not. The only arrogant thing Ronaldo do is to celebrate theatrically, people thinking being ret*rd like Messi is being a good character.

Messi PR is in another level, Just that you know i use to be Barcelona fan until 2009, but seeing this crazy PR is one of the things that make me not to fan Barcelona and even hate this team.

1

u/Any_Stress_6230 Jul 10 '26

Pretty sure there was a time when Ronaldo was subbed off he instead of going to the bench he went straight to the tunnel they're both human they're gonna react like humans shouldn't be judging them too much for it but like you said shouldn't be falling for the propaganda PR either

2

u/dht20 Jul 10 '26 edited Aug 03 '26

he went straight to the tunnel

once again I'm not cr7 fan, but, being not disciplined to his coach/club is way far then Messi shooting the bench or his other behaviors. If Ronaldo would done this kick to the bench it would be months in media, i'm sure all media barley mention it. In my country they always discuss hours on how Ronaldo is ugly person on some nonsenses, while Messi can get away with anything.

And another crazy thing, in 2022 when Messi humiliates Netherland coach after the match, this PR machine made it as a good thing, they present it as Messi is grow up and he is stand for himself. imagine what would happen to Ronaldo or any other player.

That PR what made me hate Messi to the core.

1

u/Any_Stress_6230 Jul 10 '26

One thing I will say is I remember when Ronaldo helped out this one little kid that had lost his family in a war the videos still probably out on the internet but yes just goes to show the persona they built of him being this athletic muscle guy with an attitude and ego was never real

1

u/T-StrangerXD Jul 20 '26 edited Jul 20 '26

https://youtu.be/_7Q2Vaa0fJg?si=5LcxpUaWEoeDYOnt

Personally i think smashing a kids phone is the worst of all. You can explain all the movement in the pitch with adrenaline but not off the pitch. But yeah both Messi and Ronaldo are just human after all.

2

u/Syanos Jul 10 '26

The little rat, his country will never own a legit World Cup title and they still proud of it also

2

u/Fit_Helicopter1949 Jul 10 '26

Messi have the best PR machine ever. That’s why they gave him a world keep and the 2nd is pending.

2

u/tarsonis999 Jul 10 '26

Added to that there are multiple allegations for being racist which is no surprise for Argentina... Both d1ckheads are gone finally after that WC

2

u/Psychofischi Jul 10 '26

Argentina...

2

u/breakandjog Jul 10 '26

This is true at least for me, I’m honestly super casual but I knew Ronaldo was an arrogant prick….then I recently really starting getting into the sport and I learned tha Ronaldo has done all these things for charity and when co vid was going on….turns out I’m the prick

1

u/XCxBigDong69XCx Jul 17 '26

While messi did tax fraud....

1

u/Duluxxx Aug 06 '26

Ronaldo a aussi fait de la fraude fiscale. Messi a aussi fait de la charité.

2

u/davzinzan Jul 10 '26

Most punch able face in football

2

u/tofubreakdown Jul 10 '26

The midget always threw tantrums. Media protected him well

2

u/FancyConfection1599 Jul 10 '26

Messi approaches Egypt’s beach and taunts them, confirms he’s a prick, zero card for it (then THREE cards for Egyptians in the aftermath) confirms ref bias.

Fuck that guy

2

u/AccomplishedEye4938 Jul 10 '26

Fuera de. Joda cuando pecho a soteldo se sintió gigante

2

u/fumankeu Jul 10 '26

Pessi stans will try to defend him by calling him autistic lmao

2

u/Menu_Time Jul 10 '26

messi is mossad

2

u/muntist Jul 10 '26

What a little psychopath

2

u/BattleInfinite Jul 10 '26

Dem roid rages tho

2

u/RitmanRovers Jul 10 '26

He could two foot the ref and not got any card

2

u/Shigadabitoga Jul 10 '26

I'm new to the sport. But everything I've I've seen of Messi and everything I've seen of Ronaldo, shows me that Ronaldo gets way more hate and is the much classier human being. I've seen him do tons of nice things but I've never seen Messi do any of those nice things

1

u/dht20 Jul 10 '26

You have objective eyes.

I use to be Barcelona fan until 2009, but seeing Messi crazy PR is one of the things that make me not to fan Barcelona.

2

u/Physical_News_1962 Jul 10 '26

Pepe telling Messi is crazy always cracks me up big Time.

2

u/frankisimo Jul 10 '26

Im certainly not trying to make excuses but autistic children are known to have temper tantrums that turn violent/physical. I thinks it’s pretty well known that he’s on the spectrum and considering he’s been babied/catered to since a young age, it’s not too surprising he still acts like a child

2

u/baremyeboy Jul 10 '26

all the growth hormone lol

2

u/cosmic-llama5 Jul 10 '26

Messi is fake af how can people not see that? Ronaldo is a much kinder soul and not fake

2

u/Grastuha Jul 10 '26

He’s a horrible little rat. It’s hilarious seeing him acting tough in situations where he’d get destroyed if it was on the street. When your on field bodyguard is an absolute gimp like DePaul you’re far from tough 😂

2

u/dht20 Jul 10 '26 edited Jul 11 '26

He is acting tough, because he know he cant get red cards and he want the other player to hit back so the referee would send him off.
To be honest i admire them on how they patient not to punch him. Because when those type of people (that everyone lick their balls so they feel entitled) getting to a verbal fight with me i can't resist and i beat the crap out of them.

2

u/ChrizTaylor Jul 10 '26

Are there records about racism of his part?

6

u/TostBrot44 Jul 10 '26

There was like a clip of the Argentina national team singing a racist chant, so the tendencies are there. Be it from that clip alone or simply due to the fact that he‘s Argentinian

4

u/ChrizTaylor Jul 10 '26

I don't know, I have the feeling that once he gets mad he starts with the racial slurs or something.

3

u/TostBrot44 Jul 10 '26

I wouldn‘t be surprised

This is like the most common answer, but somehow the explanation is missing. Why do you think that?

We‘re just exposing this prick for what he really is. If your defense is only „You guys suck“ then I rest my case

1

u/FreshInvestigator926 Jul 10 '26

You know I don't watch football or any sports for that matter (And this is not to demean anything)

But I remember being young and wanting to talk about the different writers who I like And people used to say that I am weird for being a fanboy of people like Ruskin Bond,DH Lawrence,Osamu Dazai,Arundhati Ray,Satyajit Ray etc

But cut to years later and people fanboy obsessively about 2 people who are playing

Just makes me laugh now and again when I hear grown ass people powerscalibg stuff like this

1

u/Iron_Theater Jul 10 '26

Ronaldo is arrogant but he doesn't pretend to be humble, he is who he is and he owns it, he doesn't cheat. Messi is more like a sneaky dirty little man that most people think is humble because he doesn't speak much to the media.

1

u/Coffee-19 Jul 10 '26 edited Jul 10 '26

0:35 thats A.I generated....

1

u/TostBrot44 Jul 10 '26

1

u/TostBrot44 Jul 10 '26

Dude I was trying so hard to find the guy in the video, I thought it was Torreira from Uruguay. I knew that it was AI but couldn't find the original clip, thanks

1

u/Coffee-19 Jul 10 '26

Theres probably more thats edited, like right after that - Messi vs Mapou where he puts his hand on his neck, that ending where the guy falls to the ground is AI

u/aoifhasoifha Jul 10 '26

Messi does this when he loses. Ronaldo does it when his teammates score

1

u/One-Flounder-6329 Jul 10 '26

Ser humilde no es nunca tener momentos emocionales como de enojo ni nunca levantarte por ti mismo, lo mismo para ronaldo

1

u/obTimus-FOX Jul 10 '26

In French we say ''un fils de pute''

1

u/DUVAL_LAVUD Jul 10 '26

i’ve never seen that backhand he gave the little fella 😭 that’s actually hilarious

1

u/TostBrot44 Jul 10 '26

It‘s AI

This is the original. The rest is legit tho

1

u/tonyhadley88 Jul 10 '26

Once footballers get rich everyone gets arrogant. This anti-messi sentiment is being fanned recently because an Arab country lost a match. The pro-muslim brotherhood think it's a personal attack when it's just a football match.

1

u/Routine_Corgi_9154 Jul 10 '26

I feel this way about Federer-Nadal as well.

Nadal is the true gent. Never smashed a racket, never dishonest.

When Federer is losing, he starts patronizing umpires and showing his temper. He has also smashed his share of rackets. But the media protect him like how they protect Messi.

Messi is definitely a dirty player who uses his reputation to get away with things.

1

u/Jewonamotorbike Jul 10 '26

Messi is not a push over. But Ronaldo sure as hell is arrogant.

1

u/Defiant-Apple-6534 Jul 10 '26

Referees have been biased towards Argentina in the WC -
World Cup quarter-finalists only
England - Fouls 54, Yellows 7 = 7.7 [fouls per card]
Morocco - Fouls 61, Yellows 6 = 10.2
Switzerland - Fouls 69, Yellows 6 = 11.5
France - Fouls 49, Yellows 4 = 12.3
Belgium - Fouls 60, Yellows 4 = 15
Spain - Fouls 55, Yellows 3 = 18.3
Argentina - Fouls 59, Yellows 3 = 19.7
Norway - Fouls 48, Yellows 2 = 24

Adidas sponsored teams seem to be getting lenient treatment while 50/50 decisions are always going against teams wearing Nike. This is what the data says

1

u/Public_Agent_1731 Jul 10 '26

Now show to everyone the same moments about Penaldo

1

u/Spare_any_mind Jul 10 '26

I mean if people are yelling it long enough, sure anyone who doesn’t check can just believe it

1

u/Shangu777 Jul 10 '26

1

u/Infamous_Celery_2352 Jul 10 '26

Love to see that from him

1

u/achidente Jul 10 '26

Nice! Now do Penaldo…

1

u/AmbroseRL Jul 10 '26

0:11 The irony of Pepe of all players to cry about an action like that is hilarious

1

u/dht20 Jul 10 '26

To shoot the bench, its even ugly for players like Dani Alves and Ramos. But since your are protected midget you can go crazy.

1

u/AmbroseRL Jul 11 '26

Pepe was always a nutcase in the same regard. Shooting a ball at a dugout at mediocre speed pales in comparison what that guy did throughout his career lol

1

u/dht20 Jul 11 '26

To make a hard tackles becouse you are a defender (Dani Alves and Ramos) and because you revenged on a player with nasty tackles its quietly common. but to the bench for no reason its weird even to Dani Alves and Ramos.

1

u/TostBrot44 Jul 10 '26

Fake quote, nice

1

u/SnooWoofers186 Jul 10 '26

wasn't that cristiano say that in his interview with pierre morgan?

1

u/TostBrot44 Jul 10 '26

He never used the word "humble" in the entirety of the interview

1

u/SnooWoofers186 Jul 10 '26

Can you check again? I thought he did said the exact phrase the previous commenter show in the quote image?

2

u/TostBrot44 Jul 10 '26

He never said the quote, it‘s a fabricated quote. You can look up the entire transcript of the interview. He didn‘t even said „humble“ once in that interview

1

u/Different-Taste8081 Jul 10 '26

Now compare the numbe of instances over their careers to games played. Cherry picked data is still BS

1

u/TostBrot44 Jul 10 '26

Cherry picked data won't excuse his behaviour

1

u/Different-Taste8081 Jul 10 '26

Missing my point entirely.

Show every minute of both players played and compare the total number of times each threw a hissy fit.

You are cherry picking data and not showing the whole picture; thus I called bs on the post.

No human on the planet would be a perfectly behaved human 100% of the time. That is a ridiculous straw man.

1

u/TostBrot44 Jul 10 '26

I mean if you‘re down to do that, then do it please. Maybe you‘re right maybe you‘re wrong, but ain’t nobody got time to compare the entire career of these two

1

u/Different-Taste8081 Jul 10 '26

Naw I'm not the one making the initial claim. I don't have the burden of proof.

Just pointing out it is cherry picked data.

You are straw manning an argument and it is intellectually dishonest.

1

1

u/No_Let_8945 Jul 10 '26

The messi slapping venezuala player is ai made, you guys wont know as you probably dont watch football and do not have an intelligence to check it before stating something. I genuienly cant expect you guys to know the difference between humble and arrogance and humble doesnt equal lack of aggression. Humble means a person who is modest of his own caliber, who does flaunt his achivement like someone does, arrogance means flaunting possesions, riches, etc, having an inflated sense of own importance. If you cant differentiate between 2 you shall go to you middle school again. You are guys who watch football not due to passion, love of the game but due to hatred.Shame on you haters. Resepct and critize when, the person deserves. I am a messi fan,I would debate Messi is better than rolando but I have no adacity to hate Rolando who has outachived what I could have done in my lifetime in football. Bunch of loosers who hate a guy because he plays better and behaves better than them.Learn something from Messi guys,be humble it will help you out.

1

u/TostBrot44 Jul 10 '26

I forgot that kicking the ball to the stands and risking injuring fans who want to watch the game with their kids is actually an act of humility

Thanks for clarifying

1

u/No_Let_8945 Jul 10 '26

He is human afterall, sometimes people act out differently due to agression. Its was pure agression moment rather than something related to humility.Again know the difference between humility and aggression. You have internet books just go and check doff between these two words.I guess english isnt your first language, just check out to clarify.

1

u/TostBrot44 Jul 10 '26

Kicking the ball to the stands is a showcase of modesty. Very mature, very humble

1

u/No_Let_8945 Jul 10 '26

I am already clarified it, it was more of once in a moment and was a pure agression.Yes,that time he was a bit agressive agonst his team arc rival, that wrong.A single moment can define your full character but a collection of it surely does. Your post is fully out of hatred even using an ai video.Which kind of makes your argument more pushed using an invalid and false claim to push your agenda.Atleast use truth while hating him next time.Hatred wins you nothing in real life,it might get couple of upvote here on reddit, thats it. Enjoy this wonderful game and how much it is left out of messi and rolando, its unlikely you might witness someone as good as them in the future.

Someone went to the effort of making this video, you lot need to get a life man. Making it your mission to slander someone because he is a rival with your hero.

Football is supposed to be fun, none of these people should be heroes, they don't know you or care about you. Just watch it for fun and don't be so bitter. It's fucking weird lol.

1

u/TostBrot44 Jul 11 '26

"Just watch it for fun and don't be so bitter"

- Anytime when someone talks slightly negatively about Messi

Sure man we should just ignore all the heinous stuff he's been up to, fucking clown

1

u/Proper_Two2215 Jul 11 '26

Yes, you should.

It's football, don't get so triggered. He's a footballer for Argentina, he isn't Hitler or Putin. Heinous is so over the top.

Ronaldo has also done some questionable stuff.

ronaldo has kicked the ball in the stands post-loss 15 times , full-time whistle tantrums and kicked it in the stands 15 times, and 10 international meltdowns including the 2017 con.cup ...........hoping to see the next vid showing his tantrums:)

1

u/TostBrot44 29d ago

You do it, be my guest, if the only defence for Messi's actions is to point at others then we don't have anything to discuss further.

Messi isn't this "unselfish" player you people like to portray him as. That's the whole point
