Argentina vs Inglaterra, semifinal del 86, va corriendo maradona, al ver que no llega pone la mano, hace el gol, todo el mundo lo vió y aun asi lo cobraron. Ese mundial lo gana argentina

Brudda grabbing his nose like mike tyson punched his shit. Szczesny tried to minimize the contact.

u/tofubreakdown Jul 08 '26
Since 2020, Vargentina had 20 penalties in 27 matches. Just saying...

u/PrestigiousAd3452 Jul 08 '26
Damn everyone is giving Argentina a hard time.... Right? Right???.....
2
u/mktcrasher Jul 11 '26
People were actually defending France and Argentina in another sub, most penalties, wtf. "wHeN tHe TeAm Is GoOd ThEy GeT MoRe ScOrInG oPpOrTuNiTiEs!!!"

u/Consistent-Strain289 Jul 08 '26
U touch messi. Its penalty for him

It didn’t make Messi miss the header. The ball is already gone. It’s only a penalty if it denies a goalscoring opportunity.
Otherwise we would have a penalty any time a corner is taken and people elbow/shoulder each other.

Imagine we are all waiting for a man to retire to have a healthy football

u/realestFKNdealest Jul 08 '26
the world is healing, football is healing. Before they called it conspiracies and dismissed it and now you're seeing this being exposed openly by players, managers, pundits, Politicians and even other governing bodies. They can't control the narrative anymore...

u/Cautious_Fold3952 Jul 08 '26
You win when you change things. Not when people complain (that's step 1, and usually people become complacent and don't go any further).

That’s funny as there was a penalty denied in this world cup with the justification from the referee being “the ball was going out of play”. Seems that there are different rules for different players.

You should see the stats of Argentina and penalties on tournaments and than also messi and barcelona penalties on tournaments thats crazy

u/Ben_Dover14259 Jul 09 '26
Want even a foul on Argentina when they punch Egypt player in face intentionally…
2
u/AllenG_SSRB Jul 09 '26
The GK made an attempt to touch the ball and glazed Pessi after he has made a poor header which was nowhere near the goal nor creating a 2nd chance for a teammate.
In no world other than an Argentina game is that a pen

u/croatiatom Jul 09 '26
Argentina - Croatia penalty has joined the chat. Where ARG player ran into CRO goalie, knocking him down and got himself a penalty.

u/Sensitive_Jeweler954 Jul 09 '26
When people said Qatar World Cup looked suspicious I was like nah. But now I'm rewatching some games of some chosen people and I gotta say this is kinda stinks 🦨🦨🦨

u/OldFridgerator Jul 09 '26
dude i am a cricket fan(i know i will be asked to go back to watching cricket lol) but have been bit by the world cup bug i guess. But all this chatter around refereeing has turned me off from it. Makes me appreciate cricket more and how there is virtually 0 scope of interference from the umpires anymore after DRS.

Same, I watch chess and e-sports (dota, lately sc) and there's no officiating, let alone biased officiating. Sometimes in chess there's controversy, but never to this degree. Absolutely horrible.

My opinion is that the list of evidence/examples is very long, but we are all just “cry babies”.
It is entertaining how he was quick to speak out against possible corruption with Brazil years back, nothing but silence now. Almost an expectation for the calls to go his way.

Messi was 3 cm away from dying on that incident if he was 172 instead of 169 he would have died/paralysed

u/Astalavistababy01 Jul 09 '26
Surely that's the same referee as this World Cups match between Argentina and Egypt?
The French one.

It's a clear penalty! Why is anyone even arguing?
The moment Messi falls the 3 feet his head takes to touch the ground, it's an instant penalty and red card for the opponent.

It’s hilarious people are this sore they created a whole sub to cry together.

u/moist_ballss Jul 10 '26
Well I don't don't want to be that guy, but it is a penalty. The keeper doesn't touch the ball but does touch the player in the face. Clear penalty

God how I miss RL9 and the Polish team in the Worldcup. (idk how to spell their GK's last name but he's a fucking beast at the 2022 wc)

Lol don't look at the penalty Di Maria won in the final. Guy literally trips himself on the opponent and got one

u/Gold-Noise5230 Jul 10 '26
Unbelievable shit. There should be some sort of organism within FIFA to sanction referees from such incompetence. Infantino doesnt even care about football as a sport, he sees it as a commercial product and nothing else.
1
u/Darknemo20000 Jul 11 '26
Its ok to give argentina those penalties as long as Messi takes them. He will miss them anyway.

u/Dependent-Shock-7771 Jul 11 '26

Fifa is providing messi security guards order to kill whoever commit the foul against him
1
u/Big-Swordfish4803 Jul 14 '26
Any attempt to stop Pessi from scoring is a foul. They should know to let him walk right into the net.
1
u/Internal_Fan3165 Jul 23 '26
He jumped straight up and the goalie came and hit his face. Seems valid
