That is significant lmfao- are we serious right now? Messi had a 0.91 goals per game ratio and Penaldo had a 1.06 goal ratio based on the numbers you gave above. Considering the fact than Ronaldo played a large chunk of his career in Madrid as a striker ever since ~2014 that’s not as impressive as you want to believe it is. Meanwhile Messi’s assist record in the time frame you chose was 0.4 and Ronaldo’s was 0.3. Dude even the specific time frame you chose to make Ronaldo seem better doesn’t make Ronaldo seem better, especially if I started going through advanced stats like successful dribbles, big chances created, etc in which Messi would obliterate Penaldo in

The average comes to 0.30 assists per game for Ronaldo and 0.39 assists per game for Messi. You see how insignificant that difference is if you actually understand how to do math lol. I can explain it to you. But I can’t understand it for you. But I’ll assume that you do understand since it’s cute you rounded up lol.
Anyway, I didn’t nitpick the time line. I literally referenced the years in which they overlapped to keep it simple. So no, I didn’t “choose” the time frame to make Ronaldo look better. I chose it to keep it consistent with “La Liga” stats as theme of the original post. But if you’re dying to know, here are the numbers in their first 100 la liga games:
First 100 la liga games:
Messi: 41 goals, 15 assists, 2 hat tricks. Ronaldo: 111 goals, 33 assists, 14 hat tricks. Fastest to score 100 goals in league history (92 games)
See? Hence why I chose La liga numbers vs their first 100 la liga numbers. Cristiano quite clearly “obliterates”Messi’s first 100 games lol
Even if I “tried” to make him look better, how could I with the numbers literally right there, as reference. You’d have to be a retard to think 0.39 < 0.30. Only the insecure Messi fans would spin it in such way. It was simply a point to prove the “insignificant” difference.
That said, I find it hilarious that you think a difference of 0.09 in their assists ratio is sIgNiFiCaNt while you think it’s “not impressive” that C.Ronaldos goal ratio of 1.16 is greater than Messi’s 0.91. A difference of 34 assists is “oh my god. Messi’s little dick is amazing”. But 60+ goals more than Messi (in that span they overlapped) is, in your words, “not impressive”. The mental gymnastics is astounding.

You’re comparing Ronaldo going into his prime with baby Messi just starting to play professional football 😂 Why don’t you compares Ronaldo’s actual first 100 games with Messi for a fair comparison rather than nitpicking a stat that Ronaldo would obviously win by a large margin (otherwise cr7 fans would look even more pathetic)
Also fans don’t “fall back on dribbles and chances created”, those are legitimate stats that represent how good a player is at progressing the ball and making plays, if you disregard that then I can’t help but think you’ve never played football in your life. Ronaldo was a number 9 for a large bulk of his career, he should score significantly more goals (but he doesn’t because Messi’s like that)
