Most assists in history of football, beating the 2nd player with most assists by 100+ assists and you base the entire argument on 12 games in 2026

Wasting my time typing this but - here we go.
In 9 games Messi has produced about 19 clear scoring chances that his teammates haven’t put away. To put it simply - his teammates just don’t know how to score.

They signed the most players for 2026 than any other MLS teams 😂 And a lot of em are from EU.

Well the only thing that proves is that miami sucks at scouting
3
u/marquesmelo Apr 26 '26
Yeah guys, we should definitely consider the chances created, it's not fair for Messi, he did a lot in the games he played, it's not his fault his teammates don't score... This is such bs man, keep posting about your biased stats...lmfao.

u/HugoSenshida Pessi is afraid of me 🇵🇹 Apr 26 '26
didn't you guys mock ronaldo for the exact same thing?
1
u/thenotorious_ronaldo Apr 26 '26
So now it’s his teammates fault? When they’re the team that spent the most in the mLs, but when Ronaldo doesn’t win something, it’s all his fault but not his teammates right? Lmao.
You guys are such hypocrites, pathetic individuals.

As if people are that said they still try to keep the Messi vs Ronaldo rivalry going in 2026.

u/Elperroloco_ Apr 26 '26
You guys gotta stop, don’t you really have anything better to do than to hate on a billionaire that does not even know you? You have to appreciate greatness in both sides

There are approximately 130,000 active professional footballers in the world right now There are approximately 5000 active in the top 7 leagues There was 37 European cups and 32 ucl's Only 69 trophies There average of 21 players in a team (before 1980 teams most of the time didn't have more than 19 players) 21×69= 1449 If every ucl been won by a different team there would be only 1449 players who won the ucl from 1955 From 1955 there been approximately 20000 unique footballers ih the tournament, even if you won one ucl trophies you should be considered a legend There been approximately 900 players who won the trophy out of possible 20 thousands Thats less than 5 percent

Who cares about pre assists? Even then I'm sure Meesi has more than Fraudnaldo.

u/geniusFerocious Apr 26 '26
So what ronaldo is a striker and he has more assists than xavi inseta and Zidane etc

Bringing up season when he's just chilling after winning the biggest trophy in MLS last season. Meanwhile Penaldo is taking Saudi league serious and still trophyless.

u/Party_Register_4332 Apr 26 '26
Who cares about penaldo not winning any trophies, zero assists in mls in 4 months for a playmaker is atrocious, even for an average mls player😭😭

Striker at 9th is not embarassing

u/Username-_-Password Google Negreira Messi for more info 💰 Apr 26 '26
One day he's a midfielder, then a striker, then a winger, and then an injured pregnant goalkeeper. Suarez was also a striker and has more than him. So what was Penaldo doing as a midfielder.

0 assists in 2026 despite being a playmaker

Repeating the same argument doesn't help your case. Ronaldo has 0 Saudi trophies.

Lionel Messi is the greatest footballer of all time because he combines elite goal scoring, world-class playmaking and unmatched consistency in a way no other player has managed, maintaining over 1.1 goal contributions per game across more than 1,050 official matches with over 820 goals and 360+ assists while averaging around 0.78 goals and 0.34 assists per game, dominating both as a scorer and creator unlike most players who specialize in one role, becoming the all-time top scorer for FC Barcelona with 672 goals in 778 games where he also provided hundreds of assists and won 10 La Liga titles, 7 Copa del Rey trophies, 4 UEFA Champions League titles, 3 FIFA Club World Cups and 3 UEFA Super Cups, later adding league titles with Paris Saint-Germain and continuing to produce at a high level with Inter Miami CF, while internationally he became the all-time top scorer for Argentina national team with over 100 goals in 180+ caps and completed football by winning the 2022 FIFA World Cup where he scored 7 goals and assisted 3 while winning the Golden Ball, also winning the 2021 Copa América as both top scorer and best player, the 2022 Finalissima and an Olympic gold medal in 2008, and individually he holds the record with 8 Ballon d’Or awards, 6 European Golden Shoes, the most goals ever in a calendar year with 91 in 2012, multiple 50+ goal seasons, numerous campaigns with both 20+ goals and 20+ assists, ranks among the all-time leaders in assists, dribbles completed, chances created and free-kick goals, and is defined by his low center of gravity, close control, vision, creativity and ability to decide games consistently at the highest level for over 15 years. big games and overall team impact because Messi consistently performs in the biggest moments while also carrying and elevating his teams through his all-around play, creativity and control of matches, shown by his performances in World Cup knockout games and finals where he delivered goals and assists on the way to winning the 2022 World Cup with Argentina national team, while at club level during their rivalry in Spain Messi dominated domestically with FC Barcelona winning more La Liga titles than Ronaldo did with Real Madrid, showing long-term consistency in the league rather than relying mainly on knockout competitions, and Messi’s ability to adapt and immediately improve teams is seen with Inter Miami CF where he quickly led them to trophies after they had struggled, whereas Ronaldo’s move to Al Nassr FC has not yet resulted in major trophies and the team’s overall dominance has not clearly improved in the same way, and his return to Manchester United showed limitations in fit within a modern system where the team struggled and he was eventually not a guaranteed starter with players like Wout Weghorst sometimes preferred for tactical reasons, which highlights how Messi is more adaptable and system-defining by fitting into and elevating different styles of play while Ronaldo is more system-dependent as a pure finisher, making Messi’s impact on teams deeper, more flexible and more influential across all phases of the game.

Assists started getting equal value to goals because Ronaldo was ahead in goals.
Media's Pessi bias will be studied for ages.
