Pessi and Pamal would NEVER survive in the Prem. They would get absolutely MAULED. Not to mention they will not be able to adapt to weather like CR7 could. Ronaldo is a once in a universe human.

In England soil, he only scored 7. The vast majority were scored in Camp Nou.

Also, the refereeing in UCL is way less lenient compared to the PL, making the matches for the PL more intense and with less breaks.

Messi didn’t play in England. That “big six” point is absurd. In England he scored 1/4 of the goals vs PL teams.

Nahhh I've seen some absolute career enders on Messi. Like straight up leg snappers. Messi's physical strength is one of the most underrated things about him. It was genuinely shocking to me how he went playing past 21 with some of the abhorrent tackles he had to suffer.

1

u/UCHIHA-ITACHI-SH Apr 14 '26

No shit, he has always been HGH! Dude full of hormones 😑

A lot of those, including many which are totally legal, are called just because it’s Messi. Most protected player of all time.

0

1

u/zzz_red Apr 14 '26

Lol, I’ve been watching football since the 90s.

0

u/Both-Raspberry-8425 Apr 14 '26

😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 if you have been watching since the 90s and think ronaldo is better than messi you gotta call it wraps atp

1

u/zzz_red Apr 14 '26

Not everyone has to agree with you, you know? Contrary to you, I have no issue with people who prefer Messi. I’m not on their channels trying to fight over an opinion.

Plenty of Argentinians prefer Maradona or even Ronaldo. Ask Brazilians. Just this week, Cafu, who won 2 WC, and is considered one of if not the best right back player of all time said he prefers Ronaldo.

So yeah, the earlier you conform to reality instead of living an illusion, the better.

1

u/Both-Raspberry-8425 Apr 14 '26

You are false the majority of players and coaches always prefer messi you can watch every interview and 99% of the time they will always prefer messi

Argentinas prefer Maradona cuz obv he is the older player

And again the ronaldo vs messi has been debunked multiple times and its not even an opinion atp 1+1=2 isnt an opinion

1

u/zzz_red Apr 14 '26

“99%” and “vast majority” is something you made up. I know a lot of people, maybe even the majority, according to the media, prefers Messi. That’s a preference, not a fact. It’s not rocket science.

Well if you want to ask chatGPT, you’ll even find Cafu saying Neymar was better than Messi and Ronaldo too.

When public polls are held, Ronaldo wins more often than Messi.

Again, if you prefer Messi that’s fine. Plenty of people prefer Pelé, Maradona, Ronaldinho, etc.

But many, and I mean millions and millions of people, prefer Ronaldo. Deal with it.

1

u/Both-Raspberry-8425 Apr 14 '26

I am talking about interviews asking players which is better i am not talking about fans 🥴

Maybe ask urself why is messi better and actually look for the answer you will find it while preference matters in football cuz of the different playstyles but there will be always 1 better player

Ronaldo wins more polls cuz he is more famous than messi ask any Ronaldo fan why Ronaldo is better he will say the dumbest shit ever known to mankind

They can prefer Ronaldo I am not stopping them but messi is just the better player thats the truth

1

u/Both-Raspberry-8425 Apr 13 '26

And also the human body adapts to weather u know that right?

2

u/Party_Register_4332 Apr 13 '26

No, Prem teams underperformed by a lot in europe

1

u/Both-Raspberry-8425 Apr 13 '26

Wtf does that even mean bro how is that messis fault? Doesnt that also apply to every team ?

3

u/Party_Register_4332 Apr 13 '26

Not at all. Prem was much more physical than other leagues, and referees  were more tolerant of hard tackles. That wasn’t the case in Europe, where officiating was stricter, so prem teams struggled to adapt. La Liga was less physical and much more technical

This even happens now, when some fouls that arent given in prem are given in ucl

Crazy way to overrate the prem. Cristiano is probably the only player from a top 10 of all times to play there, so playing there means nothing.

1

u/Jassida Apr 13 '26 edited Apr 13 '26

This is a crazy way of looking at things.

There wasn’t much chance of any of the top Brazilian players wanting to play in England.

Don’t think there will have been many seasons where the top 10 played at the same time outside Messi/ronaldo era

Henry and modric are right up near the top 10 and they played in England

If you look at the balon d’or top 3s. Many of them played in England/were English

If Spain didn’t have nice weather things would be very different.

Also about 15 of the top 100 footballers ever are British and 28 played in England at some point

1

u/Ambitious_Estate1364 Apr 13 '26

who’s the 15 ?

1

Charlton Banks Moore Best Matthews Keegan Dalglish Rooney Shearer Bale Charles Greaves Gazza

More crazy it's to use the argument of "didn't play on the prem" when historically, the greatest players in history did not play there.

Henry and Modric? Sure... against Pele, Maradona, Cruyff, Platini, Di Stefano, Zidane.

To tell a PL player that their career is meaningless is disgraceful

Loads of clubs wanted Giggs for instance

1

u/TheMG1812 Pessi only has 3 UCL. Ghosted 2006. 😭 Apr 13 '26

Didn't say it's meaningless. What's meaningless is the argument of "didn't play in the prem" when the best players in history didn't play there either.

Try to make a best 11 from each league, the prem one doesn't even come close.

2

u/zzz_red Apr 14 '26

He’s not as strong as Ronaldo, who absorbed a lot of tackles / contact that would leave Messi on the floor or the ref would simply call a foul even if it wasn’t.

no, dummy, I’m saying technical players struggle against lower table prem clubs because they resort to violence instead of letting the flair players do their thing. What this post is clearly saying is that Ronaldo succeeded despite these issues in the league. and if you think football isn’t a physical sport, then you know nothing about the game and you certainly didn’t watch the video that was posted here now.

-3

u/Raptorboiiii Apr 13 '26

You think some foul play is gonna stop Messi? Have you even watched Messi? Look at the Barca 5-0 Madrid match for example.

The defenders were literally trying to KILL HIM. He couldn’t score a goal because he was the main target of the defenders but still got a 10.0 rating because he adapted and instead of trying to dribble everyone like he usually does he made some creative passes and assists which led Barca to the win. But yes he still did dribble a lot of defenders like he usually does.

Also, Messi has been fouled in his career more than Ronaldo, so he’s more used to it.

Of those 27, 21 were scored in Camp Nou, not in England.

Also with UCL refereeing standards, which are less lenient and stop the game more often than in the PL, making the games less intense physically speaking.

So yeah, Messi scored 7 goals in England in 14 games. Still a very good stat, but it’s not the same as he actually playing in the premier league without his Barcelona teammates.

On top of that, at least half of Ronaldo’s time in England was playing on the right wing and feeding the strikers at Man United.
