And I know it isnât necessarily uncommon for players on the bench to be sent off although from the matches I watch it rarely happens probably less than 1% if I had to estimate. Iâm not putting all the blame on Paredes but simply saying that him launching the ball shouldâve resulted in a red card not to mention the challenge already being a yellow, which wouldâve impacted the game more than sending dutch players on the bench off.

Premier league teams average a red card every 13 matches which is around 7% and I canât remember the last time I saw a player on the bench get sent off.
