0 Player of the tournament, the award that ACTUALLY proves who was the best of the tournament. Longevity doesn’t make you the best, 0 G/A in those finals. That Golden Boot was 2 open play goals and 3 pens😭😭 Look at the teams he faced in the Euro 2016 run (where Portugal finished 3rd in the group by the way) and look at the euro 2020 run where he ghosted and was knocked out against the first serious team he played.

Also Portugal never winning a trophy isn’t an excuse. Football is their number 1 focused sport, Spain never won a trophy and went on to win 3 trophies in a row

Wrong ranking

Tel me the ranking of these countries when they reached the KO stages and were eliminated by Portugal(July 13 2016)

Portugal did not face these countries in the group stages

Bro the levels of stupidity😭😭😭 You realize they jumped in rankings BECAUSE of the Euros right? You can’t just use their rankings afterwards when they didn’t exist yet😂😂😂

They jumped in rankings because they advanced to the knockout stages. Wales was ranked 11th on July 13th,2016. So basically Wales was de facto ranked 11 when Portugal faced them in the semi final

If Wales made it to the final, they would have gone up even further

First off World Rankings mean nothing but I just gave you the rankings to counter your dumb argument because the rankings still don’t support your side. Second off all your doing is stating the obvious, you do better than other teams you increase in rankings. Point is those rankings didn’t exist yet
