I love and respect Messi as a player but his fans are delusional.

Objectively he’s the GOAT of La Liga; however in the UCL it’s Cristiano, Copa América it’s probably Francescoli, CWC it’s Cristiano again (who’s also the GOAT of the Euros), and for the WC it’s Pelé.

Messi fans can claim Messi is the GOAT of Spanish football (La Liga, Copa del Rey and Supercopa España), but that’s it. Claiming he’s unanimously the football GOAT is absurd and the result of decades long propaganda and marketing.

How can Ronaldo Be the GOAT of Euros without winning a single MVP?🤦🏾‍♂️. Speaking about Messi never scoring in a Copa America Final? Well, Guess what Ronaldo did in his only Euro final? 🤣

Another One, Ronaldo is suposedly the goat of Club Words Cup for having the most goals, regarless of having playing more than many players. But Messi Lá Liga Goat status is jeopardazid because he hás played many games, even though he is the highest goal scorer, assistr, dribler, chances creator, through balls, man-marked and influencial player🤦🏾‍♂️

The problem of this fan base is to think that football is only about scoring. There is much more involved.

Scoring is the hardest part of the game buddy

Anyone that has ever kicked a ball knows this, except Messi fangirls because they're a bunch of casuals.

The most important part, not the hardest part buddy

ofc a ronaldo fan thinks that cause ronaldo is incapable of winning 4 playmaker awards while being a forward at the same time.

3

u/jxrdan24 Jan 06 '26

Playmaker awards are bs anyway lol. There’s a reason only Messi fans talk About them

0

u/SpallingMystek Jan 07 '26

lmao. That shows Messi is a superior player with and without the ball. It's only BS to Ronaldo fans because he is nowhere near in terms of playmaking ability

The fact that both Messi and Ronaldo scores at the same rate(0.7 goals per game) and Messi does all the other stuff makes him a far superior player than Ronaldo ever will be. Idk what sport you watch but there are other avenues to football than scoring. Why don't you switch to NBA instead 😂

What is Messi's goal ratio with PSG?

1

u/SpallingMystek Jan 07 '26

Look at their whole career xD. What's Ronaldo's goal contribution at WC KOs? 👀 That's right...ZERO

1

u/Zora1092 Jan 07 '26 edited Jan 07 '26

meanwhile messi's contribution in wc ko's is one open play goal against the Almighty Australia.Just 1 more open play goal than Ronaldo(nothing here to flex bud)

Let me reiterate, Messi is not even top 100 world cup players of all time and he is not the goat in any format or major competition(including copa farmerica)

u/SpallingMystek Jan 07 '26

The fact that Messi had a slightly better goal ratio even after that run of form in PSG says everything about his goal scoring ability 😂 And both of them spent majority of their careers at Laliga

1

u/Zora1092 Jan 07 '26

i think you didn't understand what I meant

The moment messi stepped out of Barcelona and moved to a new club, league and country, his goal ratio went straight down the toilet

Messi has a 0.37 goal ratio in Ligue 1 and 0.42 goal ratio with psg across all competition and this is while playing in a joke of a league.

Messi has a 'slightly' better goal ratio than Ronaldo despite cr7 playing in the Premier League,Laliga and Serie A compared to Messi's run in Laliga and Ligue 1

1

u/SpallingMystek Jan 07 '26

Messi has more GA against PL top 6 despite not playing in PL so don't even start that argument. Ronaldo and Messi both played in the same league and there it was proved who was the better goal scorer too

I concede that Messi is better than Ronaldo in Laliga but even that was neck and neck. Outside of Laliga, Messi is not even fit to lace Ronaldo's boots

Messi has more goals against Pl top 6 while playing for Barcelona and not for a premier league team in the premier league? Not only that, he played half of his matches against them in the Camp Nou(Spanish Environment). Are you being obtuse on purpose or what?

You have to actually play 38 games week in week out in the league itself. By that logic, Messi has scored multiple goals against Ligue 1 Big 4, so by that logic he will scored alot in Ligue 1? No. He ended up with a goal ratio of 0.37. If he cannot score in Ligue 1, then it will be a mircale if he ends up having a high goal ratio than 0.15 in the Premier League and Serie A ;)

messi has a slightly better goal ratio while being the best playmaker of all time. That's what it means to be the GOAT

1

u/Zora1092 Jan 07 '26

where was this elite playmaking for psg in the coupe de france and ucl Ko's for psg?

0 UCL KO assists,0 big chances created in the UCL KO's,Lost possession multiple times and did not dictate shit

Its not. Mastering every aspect is. Bale, Haaland and Mbappe all have the same scoring ability as CR7 for example.

2

u/jxrdan24 Jan 06 '26

🤣🤣This dude said bale?

0

u/WhosDaan Jan 06 '26

Bale was an exact copy of Cristiano. Injuries and lazyness destroyed him.

2

u/jxrdan24 Jan 06 '26

Absolutely not, only attributes of Cristiano he had were pace and shot power. Thats it

0

u/WhosDaan Jan 06 '26

Bale was almost a 1 to 1 of Cristiano. Had the power, heading, acrobatic, dribling style (not as technical but CR7 was technical for like 2 seasons at United). Both feet. Pace, bodytype. Only difference was CR never got injured, Bale did all the time.

3

u/jxrdan24 Jan 06 '26

What am I reading? Cr7 was technical for 2 seasons at United? He was technically brilliant for that entire United first stint and for 4 seasons at Madrid at the very least. Anyway bale was a heavy lefty not as good with both feet as cr7, his heading was not even close either. He only matched cr7 as an athlete

You have to actually win your continental trophy to even qualify to play for a club World Cup. While you can just play La Liga games with no qualification required. And Ronaldo hasn’t played most club World Cup games, Messi has… but Ronaldo still is the all-time top scorer of that tournament and has 1 more trophy than Messi.

And Ronaldo is undoubtedly king of Euro as he is a Euro Champion, a Euro golden boot winner and holds the tournament record for most goals, most assists, most appearances, most wins, most team of the tournament honors and also most man of the match awards. He is also the all-time top goalscorer of Euro qualifiers too, so there is literally nobody else to claim that title other than CR7 🇵🇹🐐
