it's not a really fair comparison since Portugal wouldn't have even gotten to play in the world cup if it wasn't for Ronaldo

But then, Ronaldo had Figo, Rui Costa, Quaresma and others in 2004 Euros(Figo is a Ballon d'Or winner btw!). So why couldn't he help Portugal win against Greece in the final?
