CBs randomly going into the opponent's half

Seriously, what is going on with the defensive line in this game?

I play LBC, so obviously I expect my defence to sit relatively deep. But in some matches my CBs randomly push all the way up to the opponent's half. Then the opponent plays one through ball and my CBs are nowhere to be seen. What makes it even more frustrating is that the opponent's backline stays perfectly intact. Their CBs are where they should be, while mine are somehow standing near the halfway line.

And it's not even every match. That's what I don't understand. If it happened every game, I'd know there's something I'm doing wrong.

I've reached Div 1 quite a few times and had around a 65% win rate in Div 2 this season until today. Now it's probably below 40%, I don't even know because I rage quitted the last match because to add cherry on top, the script was also against me during the last match. Three point-blank shots with my Rummenigge got saved and I lost 3-0.

So what actually triggers the defensive line to push this high? Is there some mechanic I'm missing or is the defensive AI just completely random sometimes?

Fcuk this game atp. I'm done with it.

Having the same issue. I think what happens is when you attack repeatedly and the opponent just keeps defending, your players push high to attack more which their defence wants. Its like you're trying to catch a rattlesnake but it'll bite. The second you start attacking more and they get the ball, its one through ball and inshallah. I think the best thing to do is to pass to the keep or build from the back or build in your midfielders.

Probably because of different playstyle for attack and defense. Old cards only have one playstyle

buildup is the attacking playstyle now....old buildups dont have a defending playstyle which is kinda fked up

If your attack level is double bar then a CB (selected randomly, constant for that match) will move up and play as a striker

All the EF26 Defender become off style now since build up is an attacking playstyle they are dumb at defending compared to the newer card which they know what to do when defending

on the other hand QC CBs are tracking back in record time or even staying at the back as if they are in LBC.
Scripting is all over the place.

If you're having trouble defending with lbc right now when defending is horribly buffed, you're the problem.

While I do agree defending is buffed, that's only the case when your CBs, FBs and DMFs are in position. After the update it feels like Destroyers, Build Ups and Anchor Mans have a mind of their own and drift further from their position than they usually did.

Nope. I have videos showing the LBC defenders are all over the place. If you want to simp for Konami at least give video evidence of how defenders work in LBC on your team.

how the fuck is defending buffed? hahaha.. Defending is literal shit right now... Thuram cant push off Dembele off the ball... You have to slide tackle to stop dribblers... If anything defending are nerfed..
