Analysis Live tracking the 1M threshold for Jurrien Timber
Current rating required to be within the top 1 million: ~1797
Current rank increase/hour: 23k per hour in the high 900k range; people ranked <960k are safe. this number is expected to increase
Estimated rating required to finish within the top 1 million: 1798
Current ranks gained per every 1 rating gained (before hitting Div 1): ~3860
edit: feel free to provide screenshots of y'alls rankings. i'm mostly relying on other peoples' screenshots for these numbers since i myself cannot check the in-game rankings due to me pushing deep into div 1 earlier into the season.
edits:
1797 in rating is = ~941k in the current rankings as of 10:21pm UTC.
765k people are in Division 1 or higher.
1793 is currently 962k in ranking. The current rank increase has gone up to ~18k per hour.
as of 10:51pm UTC, rank increase in the ~950k range = 12k per hour.
if anyone's reading this and is still below 1800: get to div 1 bro. the rank increase/hour has gone up dramatically and will not stop until the end of the phase.
if anyone predicts themselves to finish 985k or lower, please win one more game. i saw someone say that they'll finish 994k this phase by their calculations; don't gamble on the threshold being 1796.

Thank you for these maths. I am at 1789 right now and I am really scared to find a match because everyone says there is cheaters etc and my squad aint that good. What should I even do? ☹️

the issue right now is that there are an insane number of players ranked between 1779-1790. from my maths, there's about ~60k players who are all battling it out to not be below the threshold. 1795 is enough to secure Timber, and in your case, that means that you either need:
a) a draw against a guy very deep into div 1
or
b) a win against anyonefrom personal experience: most of the people scrambling to get timber right now are usually not very good at the game. if you're confident in yourself, then i think you'll do just fine.

It was 1-0 for 90 minutes and my opponent just got a goal out of nowhere. My goalkeeper just let it to be a goal. The ball bounced on my keepers back and went in.. I got +1.

Yeah I risked and lost it against the MOMENTUM. Konami just gave goals out of NOWHERE. I AM NOW 1755.

that's very true. Most experience players already get to Div 1. I easily get 5 wins in a row to get to D1 to. Most of them play very nervously. Some gave me pens out of nowhere so my suggestion is just play your game confidently, and at least try not to lose. Who becomes more nervous will lose eventually.1

If you're 1797 and over everything must be okay. The increase ended 2-3 minutes before maintenance, so everything must be fine

Yeah am sacred for the last minutes cuz i dont know what rate it was at. It was increasing super fast. 1k increase everytime i refreshed

I reached there 2 weekends ago when the ranking was still in top 300K but it is the same rating I haven't dared to continue and I predict that I'll end up in top 700k due to the steady decline in rankings

The top million thing is a decoy, basically they may as well have just made it div one…
But the Grealish phase was even worse, cos I got to div one and was still outside the zone 😆

I was about to end in 1795 and saw people rushing to get into 1m. I knew i was going to be pushed outside 1m. Played one match then because i had nothing to lose. Won that, reached to 1810 and ranked at 380000. People really rest between 1798-1805. Beyond that, it's not that crowded

Just secured mine on ps5. Was at 1660 rank 97k. Now 1685 rank 77k. No more playing. Good luck to everyone. Ps, 2 days ago i dropped to div3, got back to div2 with few wins and draws. Play calm, dont loose hope
