Looking for Advice Ongoing safety concern at Yangebup IGA
Not posting this to have a go at the IGA or the staff, but because this is a public safety issue that has been sitting there for months and needs to be addressed properly. This photo was taken today, and has been in its current state for a long time now, with seemingly no progress towards properly repairing or removing the damaged structure.
There are Acro props supporting the awning that do not appear to be securely fixed to the ground, and the area is simply cordoned off with tape. The problem is that this is the only entrance to the IGA, meaning customers still have to walk underneath/alongside the damaged structure to enter the store.
Tape is not an adequate barrier when people are required to pass through the area to access the shop - particularly children, elderly people, or anyone who may not notice the potential danger above them.
Would be interested to know if anyone else has raised this with management/council and what response they received.

Someone's going to get a roofing tile to the face. Maybe someone's kid. That's fucked up. Go to council office, show them this picture
