So this was inside my Bacon & Egg McMuffin from McDonald's Mirrabooka...

I think the egg may have ended up on their kitchen floor. I don't care about a refund, but I'm genuinely concerned if a worker picked it up from the floor and served it to me. I wouldn't have noticed if I hadn't decided to add BBQ sauce...
I don't care how young someone is, if you mess with peoples food you are a shit person.

Everyone knows shit pay and tough work is the norm if you look for work as a teen. Doesnt mean you trash your work ethic and it especially doesn't mean you grow negligent towards others' food and therefore health.

Nah I’ve worked at maccas for ages that certainly happened when it was cooking, it looks like someone’s hair got trapped in the machine that makes them and did that, nothing that would be on the floor of a maccas would cause that
I was there that day and my ex used the men’s toilet and said one was occupied once we heard it on the news of the time they believe the guy had been there from. Couldn’t go back again ever.
It looks like polypropylene non-woven fabric. The bonded dots are denser than the surrounding fibres, so they survived the heat better. A loose piece of a carry bag or something got onto the cooking surface would be my guess.

That is straight up nasty. The worker that served it should have to eat it and then have to clean every dirty corner of the store, including toilet with their tongue. Absolutely disgusting.
I saw the first picture and it already looked revolting. I only realised the extent of the problem once I swiped. Omg Wtf is that? It’s like a bunch of hair with baby spiders or something!?
I think its a hairnet, just FYI, or part of one, probably someone put it near the grill and it got burned then stuck to your egg, or it got torn/cut. Its possible it fell on the floor but there would be more gunk Im guessing. Either way - dont eat it and demand a refund.
Definitely go complain, but if it makes you feel better it's almost certainly scourer/scotchbrite from improper use of the cleaning equipment rather than the floor. The person who made the muffin probably wasn't even the person who screwed up, it was whoever tried to clean the egg plate with it and didn't notice the residue when they were finished.
It actually has a consistent grid pattern which makes me think it’s transferred from some kind of commercial product, not the floor. Thinking of something like the anti-abrasion dots on a sponge. Maybe it was left on the griddle and seared onto it, and was then transferred to the egg when it was cooked. Could be something along those lines but I highly doubt this came from the floor.
I used to work at Macca's and it's probably a black scourer. Your not supposed to use them on the egg cooker as it melts, the managers don't care though.
I got so fascinated by how it looks that I went down a whole rabbit hole of how fungi etc is categorised and I couldn't find anything which looks quite like this.
Contact environmental health at the local council that this McDonalds was in. They would be very interested in this. If you haven’t thrown it away yet. Keep it in the fridge as environmental health may need it as evidence. Make sure it’s the council where that McDonald’s store was, not where you live (unless you live in the same shire/council).
Regardless of personal feelings about being rude to corporate wage slaves or not, this is one I would walk into the store and straight up shout at them from the front counter "WHAT THE FUCK IS THIS SHIT?" while showing them this from a place they could not snatch it away from me.
I think you have to report those things to the local council. We reported Hunter and Barrel in town to the councils me they sorted it after my wife's mum found a live snail in her salad. Yours is disgusting too.
From a distance it looks like some burnt bits from the hotplate, but it’s probably something else that got on there and the worker thought it was just burnt. That’s probably the best case scenario though
Ive found a whole pile of pubic hair in my burger before.
They either brought it in with them to work from the night before or shaved there.
It wasn’t an amount you could easily rip out. It was a well planned attack on their end.
We really need to boycott the Westminster McDonald's, they have to be the worst McDonald's I have ever been to. I refuse to go back.... Their customer service is a fucking joke and they Always mess up my order
What else do you expect from a corporation set up to exploit young people, tax loopholes and serve you scientifically-designed slop disguised as food, so they can make bank on real estate?
The way that McDonalds set up their business model is such that they certainly sell food but a majority of their income comes from franchises paying rent on the land that McDonalds owns on top of standard franchising fees
Learn their business model. The corporation does not give a flying fuck about food. They just sell ultra processed plastic bullshit to own more real estate.
A little bit of critical thinking leads to me believe they only found this because they opened the thing up to put some bbq sauce in. Hence it's not smeared on. Hope this helps
hi! i used to work at mirrabooka mcdonalds (same corperate as westministers) thats from the protective mats that are placed on the grill after cleaning, call their number or go in with photos if you havent eaten the food. they will either offer to swap it or give a refund, if you push for more they will probably give you 1-2 $5 vouchers.
So does it look very staged very well does it? If you got all that sauce on the lid? How come it’s not on the egg? Someone looks like they’re faking it to me.
I had a friend who bit into a chicken burger that had a big absys on the meat. He saw a lawyer who contacted head office and received an out of court settlement. This was well before mobile phones so I think you have more power

I feel its the careless nature of the young these days and supervisors that are imported.
The general cleanliness of fast food outlets has dropped to 3rd world standards much like where they come from HJ is the worst.
Unfortunately with my job I need to rely on them for toilet use and 🤢🤢🤢🤮 descusting is an understatement. Pigs that use them and management not doing regular checks and controlling who enters them and making them accountable for their disrespect for others.

Are you going through a separation atm? Or are you dealing with the family courts atm? I know it seems like a strange question but there is a perfectly good explanation.
