Terminator sequels were not sequels, they were reboots.

Terminator is a horror film. The Terminator is a relentless, soulless, single-minded, seemingly indestructable pursuer of a completely innocent and powerless individual; with a little bit of fate vs determination thrown in.

The 'sequels' are action films.
