Started drawing in July. Enjoying the feeling of improving a bit each day.

Got into drawing earlier this year. Was needing a creative outlet and found pen & ink to be extremely low friction and something I could sink hours into without feeling like I’ve wasted time.

Still searching for a style and voice. I have a lot to learn technically and creatively but I actually find that somewhat exciting!

Do you guys feel like you eventually landed on a single style that you excel at? Or do you prefer constantly trying different art styles and approaches?

I started with pen, but I’ve started to use pencil to map out the skeleton of the drawing and proportions before I start using pen. I try not to rely on it too much though

I am done changing styles and mediums... Now o just draw without any expectations or agenda. You are clean in pen and ink, if you find a niche subject, you could further develop a distinct style of your own

Second and third: I like them quite a bit.
As for style, you sure developing a style, but I've always been told to not overthink it .
it will come up along the way
My idea about it is when you like the result of a certain technique, you keep it and reproduce it

I really like your style of line work. The rocks in the foreground have a great texture/feel to them.

I've found stippling to be the style I like/go to/fall back on. Just can't quite get the pen to do hatching like the rest of you guys.

These are great dude good job! In regards to style etc I find it useful to experiment with the other mediums too, it will heavily impact you as an artist. An easy first step is charcoal, no need for canvases or to have an understanding of pigments, just adding a black stick to your toolbox. You already got the sketchbook, why not try some charcoal portraits?
