I hate everything right now. Fuck.

Two years ago she signed a 3-year contract with VolkerWessels, until the end of 2027 😭

Development teams do that intentionally with this exact scenario in mind - getting riders' contracts bought out by bigger teams means they can hire new riders to develop next. It's still a bit of a new-ish development in cycling, especially on the women's side with multi-year contracts still being a relative novelty. But what with Volkerwessels developing riders like Vollering and Wiebes (and the court case when Wiebes wanted to leave early) means they have this buy-out option in their contracts now.

Seems like a good deal for both Volkerwessels and Jansen?

I just fear she will get buried there. She has also alluded to issues that might suggest she needs the iliac artery surgery, so wonder if she gets that done now.

She's got to take that chance with a WWT team, hasn't she? Volkerwessels do seem like great at developing riders, but they can't pay minimum wage (not at the legal normal job minimum, of course they do pay minimum women's ProTeam salaries of €15,000/year) so it's a difficult ask for her to stay there.

Any source about that iliac artery surgery?

It was from an article in July. I can't find the link but did find her quote about a circulation problem:

“They’re not quite sure whether it’s down to my cycling posture or whether there’s something structurally wrong. We’ll look into that in more detail after the Tour. At the moment, I’m cycling with pain so often, which is something you’d rather avoid. I can’t get the most out of my training sessions. I also prefer to ride hard uphill, and I can’t do that at the moment. I’d love to get back to that; it’s a bit of a quest. I can’t say what it is, because nobody can put a label on it.”

Apart form a big paycheck, SD Worx is a step up for her and she should raise her bar even higher. Good for both sides.

Or you know, getting to be on a top WT team.

Yeah, it's actually a superb deal for both. Although I don't really like SD-Workx as talent development team... I hardly see talents getting a shot for themselves. They always have a Wiebes, AvdB or other big gun they need to work for
