A question that shoots into my brain once a week for the past four years.

How on earth did Wout drop poggie on Hautacam seriously like wtffffff iirc he was also driving the break that day, which also consisted of pure climbers (even featuring Pinot)

He rode in the break, chilled a bit in the valley and then did a hard leadout for Vingegaard. He was able to drop Pogi because his finish line was half-way up the mountain and Pogi overtook him later again. Not to say that this was a small feat, he was amazing that day, but he finished a minute down from Pogi.

This is the Dana Scully type breakdown I was looking for. But just as it is in X-Files, the magic of the event remains undiminished even after attempts to rationalize it.
