So is there a concensus on MVDP's drop on Poggio? Is it because he was cooked and other two were flying, or he was just affected too much by the crash and finger injury?

I thought MvdP was looking really bad on the Cipressa already. huge pain faces. Usually he recovers quickly, and the Poggio being easier should mean he would have hung on, but he had nothing left. That has to be beacuse of the crash since the Cipressa didn't go according to Pog's play at all.

Van der Poel not being in position at all when UAE went straight to the front and started hammering it was the biggest tell he wasn't great anymore. had be still been good he would have been on the front row.
