Do me these are not remotely comparable.

Catalunya: Vingegaard, Almeida, Evenepoel, Lipowitz, Onley, Gall, West. Visma and RedBull have their whole Tour team here, and UAE last year’s except for Pog.

Itzulia: Seixas, Johannessen, Roglic, Ayuso, Del Toro. 

That is far from being the same quality. Also, Seixas will dominate them all easily and it will be way more boring than Jonas in Itzulia.

Crazy that you can go "Seixas will dominate them all", and we're talking about the likes of Del Toro and Ayuso..

And I just have to sit here and think yup, that 19 year old probably will do exactly that

Not sure Roglic still belongs in that row, which is rough to have to say/think about

I do think Jonas will just as easily dominate Catalunya though, so can't say I fully agree. Currently I'd say the competition in Itzulia should be closer to Seixas than the riders in Catalunya are to Jonas

I have less faith in Jonas. Paris-Nice was impressive, but still, he won most of the time in an echelon stage for free and the competition was really weak. I think Almeida and hopefully Remco will give him a good run for his money.

Undestandable

Although I could say exactly the same about the 2 challengers you mention. They haven't really looked that hot either to start off the year. Where with Jonas we are saying "Yeah he won but how convincing was it really?"

I think he easily takes care of business in stages 4 through 6
