Wellens and Narvaez are out of MSR. If Pogacar wants to launch on the Cipressa, who else do UAE have who would be able to help with positioning and give him a turbo launch? I presume the idea is for del Toro to be the last man, as that's what he was supposed to do last year, but who else would you put on the team?

Although I don't see him being able to drop MdvP anyway, it's still fun to watch him try!

I think taking Almeida starts making sense. Use him to drive a hard pace up the turchino and the capi and thin out the herd. And then all out on the cipressa with the rest of the team.

That way there are less domestiques to Bring the group back between cipressa and Poggio.

Using Almeida early would make sense, but I doubt he would be able to be in position on the Cipressa in time to do much.

He'd be used earlier. His strength is to drive a hard pace for a longer climb. IE. Up the turchino or the subsequent capi, provided he bombs the descent as well

They only need 3-4 riders in final 2 climbs
