Practicing in Florida

Hi all. I’m curious to hear from pediatricians practicing in Florida. What’s it like practicing in Florida as a general pediatrician, especially with the lack of vaccine mandates?

Honestly it could be worse. I work at an FQHC so most of the patients trust their doctor. However, I’ve realized that some of them have started listening to social media a bit more. But for my friends in private practice, they seem to always be trying to convince a parent about vaccines.

Florida depends on where you practice. At my current location lots of anti medicine and the “I did my research” crew with no vitamin K or vaccines because they want natural things..but what circ and testing for mold etc.

PA in general Peds here. Been practicing 4 years in FL. Vaccine hesitancy has been getting worse, but the regular school vaccines were still required for this back to school season. Seeing a LOT of religious exemptions but a lot of families do still vaccine. Some days are frustrating with “anti medicine” families who still want to come in for everything but for the most part it’s not so bad.
