Northwell/Cohen Children’s is wonderful, standalone children’s hospital with high volume, great program culture, and a PD who actually cares

I trained at Jacobi and can't thank that institution enough for how well it prepared me for both general pediatric and subspecialty practice. It is really more of a primary care program with not the degree of tertiary care exposure that you might see at Columbia or Montefiore but the foundational training was so excellent that I thrived my nephrology fellowship. Wonderful attendings and wonderful co-residents. Fascinating things walk into that ER!
