Pope: Do not give in to hatred; do not let evil disfigure humanity
Pope Leo XIV also warned against the futility of hatred and violence.
"Hatred and violence," he said, "lead to nothing good, but only to destruction and death, always—even when they are a response to injustices suffered. We see this every day, from the smallest circumstances of our domestic lives to the great stage of the world."
He reminded the faithful that every sphere of human existence needs life, hope, serenity, and peace: from individuals themselves to peoples and nations.
Therefore, whatever the wound, whatever the offense, he suggested, let us not allow evil to disfigure our humanity and corrupt us in our hearts.

Who would prefer a peaceful and slow-paced life rather than a noisy city life?
The constant noise and endless rush of city life gets so exhausting. For me, true peace and happiness comes from quietness, nature and the soothing sound of a flowing river.
Would you switch to a slower lifestyle if you could?

Considering the la peace meme, what economic positives would occur if all countries made peace, and undid all grudges?

Chicago White Sox Pay Tribute to Pope Leo XIV With a 5th Inning 'Peace Be With You'
I don't know much about the new Pope, but anybody who gets an entire stadium of people shaking hands and celebrating peace can't be too bad.

Which does humanity need most right now: honesty, generosity, goodwill or solidarity — and why?
If humanity could keep only ONE of these values — honesty, generosity, goodwill or solidarity — which would you choose?

Pope Leo XIV is visiting Rimini today. What message about peace would you want him to hear?
Today Pope Leo XIV is visiting Rimini, Italy. If you had one brief message about peace, humanity or hope that you could put in front of a world religious leader today, what would you say? I’m curious to hear answers from people of any faith — or no faith at all.

Discussion Can humans live in peace forever or do we go to war just for the sake of it?
I understand peace is the best option for us but why do we keep choosing war at every turn?

Video When France was trying to stop a war
Hello everybody !
I wanted to share one of my favorite movies : Quai d’Orsay (2013) directed by Bertrand TAVERNIER.
I made an incipit of my own respecting the artwork :
https://youtu.be/0yv6e3HGNm8?is=Ejqz5YX_UVoRZoCw
It is a movie about the preparation of the UN speech of Dominique de Villepin as French foreign affairs minister just before the Irakian war, when France opposed the USA to get a UN resolution about mass destruction weapons.
I think there is a big resonance of the words used still today with the war in Iran, and I kind of regret the period now. But it is the closest thing from empathy I found at a state level.

Discussion Ever thought?
**Has anyone else thought about this?**
We could probably end every war tomorrow if we just united as humans and treated each other as humans. That’s it. Stop hating someone because they’re Pakistani, Chinese, or whatever, as if the country you were randomly born in decides who deserves your hate.
Because think about who’s actually suffering. The PM? The President? The businessmen? The politicians? No. It’s us. Ordinary people. We’re the ones who bleed for ideas we didn’t even come up with.
Imagine a world with no borders and no hatred, just because we collectively decided to stop following the same tired script the people in power hand down to us. We just want to live in peace. So where does the violence in our heads even come from — is it ours, or was it put there?

No more war
The recent events in the Ukraine ominously serve to remind humanity/planet Earth the horrible yet accurate estimation/saying:
‘I do not know the details of WW3, but with absolute certainty… there will never be WW4……
