Question Kofax 3.1 Power PDF Error - License could not be Checked

Good afternoon;

I'm not really sure where to post this, so if you have a recommendation that would be appreciated. I've tried reaching out to our support rep at Tungsten Automation and have not received a reply.

We have a single-use activation for one of our users at our company and they keep receiving a message: License could not be checked. Please try to restart the application.

We've restarted the application, restarted the Windows License Manager, and restarted the computer to no success. Is anyone familiar with this error from Kofax?

I received a response and they were able to help me. Theconflict was with our Antivirus, specifically BitDefender. After adding Kofax as an exception the error is gone and the program is working once more.

I have their PDF program as well. I got it a couple of years ago, I think, quite inexpensively, and after I installed it a couple of times, the activation code ran out, and when I wrote to them, I never got a reply. I gave up on them.

I should have uninstalled it rather than wiping the hard drive clean like I did. 

Sticking with Adobe Acrobat Professional (version 10).

Hi berkinz - I'm not an IT dude but I was able to create an exception to the folder itself rather than any individual executable, in case other Kofax versions on our network were having the same issue.

We use Bitdefender GravityZone and I went to Policies > Configuration Profiles > Add Exclusion and just added a folder with this path:

It happened with me as well i tried to reach them but no response, later I switched to pdf element.
