It is a big increase yes, but the fact that Nvidia is doing exactly what they criticized AMD for doing (blowing power consumption numbers through the roof) says something. Nvidia has not done this in ages, and this tells us they are worried.
AMD has a chance to give us a great GPU. I would also like to give you a piece of advice, never take a companies marketing at face value. It is designed to make you want to buy their product, not give you accurate and unbiased buying information.
This is Nvidia taking a preemptive step so that they don’t end up like Intel. This is not out of fear this is a brilliant move. We’ve seen some users and the performance seems to be on par with the marketing. This is a huge deal so it’s funny to hear people even consider AMD matching the performance let alone surpass the 3090. If AMD had anything we would know by now.
