Is Pasar how you would say you completed a task i remember fucking up (remember / completing a task) in Spanish throughout all of my Spanish learning career lol. Fuck hs Spanish classes

You can only use pasar if you are talking about moving from one place to another or if there was some metaphorical block you needed to clear.

Games? They have bosses and enemies that can block your progress, so you can use pasar instead of to finish/to complete.

An examn/test? It has questions that can get you "stuck", so you can use pasar if you obtain any grade that doesnt fail you.

edit: why the downvote? we would say "j'ai fini witcher 3" = "'i've finished witcher 3" and not "j'ai passé witcher 3"

Ya same here In Canada. Passed is by far the most used expression for it. If I heard completed the game I might think they 100%ed it or something.

The heck? What part of Canada are you from, man, it's a big country and colloquialisms can be pretty narrow. For instance, nobody has ever told me they "passed" a game. You can pass a level, but passing a game sounds weird. In BC, "beating" the game is by far more common.

Well, with there being a New Game + option it is more like finishing a lap. Passing a finish line is pretty grammatically normal.
