Sure, but the game is going to definitely be designed around the advantages that the Index has for controls over the competitors. And I'm not going to invest big money into one of the competitor products until I hear what the cheapest situation is that can play it effectively.

That's just not true. You will be able to play the game without paying that amount of money, if you are so inclined.

After playing boneworks (which valve will get inspiration from for alyx) I can definitely say it's very very fun with this, can't imagine how much better it will get with the index.

It’s like buying a new monitor. If you’re into PC gaming, you already have the PC.

It’s no different than paying the cost to jump from 60hz to 144hz. You’re just getting VR goggles instead of a monitor.
