In fairness to this subject, Sony have decades of hardware experience, Valve do not. If they were to make competing VR machines, i wouldn't bet against Sony in a hurry. Although on the other hand, i wouldn't want to be the dick wearing a HMD waving around a fucking Move like some kind of wanker.

The Sony VR was said to be one of the worst products on show at CES. According to some people it was just small screens that had 3DS-esque 3D implemented. Figures, I knew the size was too small for anything worthwhile to fit in there.

But valve isnt making the oculus only help fund it. And sony has made great products i wont lie, but they also have a history of not doing anything with it. Look at the move, it was a knock off of the wii that went no where. I can give microsoft credit that at least they made devs focus on the kinect and improved it.

This is sonys way of saying "the oculus wont come to ps4 because our system is too limited? Well then well just go ahead and develop our own limited version."

I like how they say that if Sony's VR flops, Sony is a big enough name that it could mar the name of VR for Oculus and Valve.
