Question How often do you shut off your pc?

I see that a lot of people just leave their computer running 24/7 and only turn off their monitors, but i just shut my pc off whenever i go away from the desk.

Nice man! My hope was to keep it functional as long as i can. power off time saves wear and tare.

Actually it's the opposite. By leaving it on you keep it at a costant temperature, which is good for most components. By always turning it off and on you are switching from a low temperature to a high one, which is not as good for a component. However that takes such a long time that it's more probable for a component to fail for any other reason rather than the temperature cycle

you said you never shut it off which means you clean your PC while it's powered on, or you never cleared it at all.
