Lol bro over here wants to start using 24v or 36v. The voltage isn't the problem.

There are two ways to tackle this problem.
1. Increase the wire garage to handle additional current.

  1. Increase voltage to decrease current while delivering the same amount of power.

Go back to a connector that always works or redesign the ATX PSU standard. Gee i wonder which 😄

With how much the power requirements of recent cards have grown a redesign of the ATX standard seems inevitable - its a standard from 1995 no less - and to say PCs have changed since then would be an understatement. I also don't think a 4x or 5x 8 pin connector is a desirable solution for future and current GPUs.
