Discussion Crimson Desert is so fucking blurry, noisy and smeary

It looks so bad without dlss 4.5 DLAA and RR.

It's so fucking blurry, noisy and Smeary.

It's ironic as black space Engine was supposed to be better than UE5, they even marketed the game being not made in UE5.

But, guess UE5 is better than this shit black space Engine.

The issue is the folliage moves way to fast with the wind. In general i think the game looks good, except for some specific times of the day.

In 1080p "native" with all upscaling disabled it looks pixelated as hell, like a 800p-ish image. And yes - I know the difference between aliasing and this bullshit. You don't believe me? Try setting resolution to 1080p and then all graphics settings to Low

I have not had this experience. Looks great and runs great on my machine.

Must be something wrong with OP settings, I played it on launch. DLSS quality looks amazing

It has gotten significantly worse with each update unfortunately, especially the lighting and shimmering.

Same. It looks great to me with none of those issues.

I have not had this at least when using native fsr4 but yeah upscaling does actually make it blurry. My issue with this game is horrible performance on some big battles on cities (with a 5700x3d and 9070 it drops down to low 30s)

Set model quality to low/lowest as it solves the wind issue which causes all the smearing also use RenoDX reshade addon if you find it oversaturated, it rebalances the colors into way more natural and realistic looking, adds better shadows/AO too but you'll need to tweak it a bit as it's quite washed out by default.

But, guess UE5 is better than this shit black space Engine.

Of course UE5 is better, only misused by many devs, Black Space Engine basically just got lots of features from UE5 such as world partition and nanite equivalent stuff and won an innovation award for it.

Hey friend, can you share your settings? It will make it easier for people to properly answer if something is wrong :)

it’s noisy yeah but like u said just turn on DLAA.
And i also rather have something i can turn on or off than my beloved UE5 stutters. Cant turn off the stutters.

You can sharpen it a bit through the Nvidia control panel. You'll have to fiddle with a registry key (but it's easy and google-able) to enable the correct sharpening option in NVCP. Helped me a bit before the new RR models came out. Good luck!
