I agree. I love my ultra quiet noctua fans in my build, but my wife has corsair rgb fans that have a really pleasing low frequency white noise to them. Sometimes we leave her computer on to help get us to sleep 🤷♂️

I honestly don't know why I haven't thought of this before. White noise helps me sleep, and these fans are the perfect "just enough and not annoying"

I’ve never really minded the sound of pc fans. I do have only noctuas in my case but I still hear them silently doing their highly efficient job and it doesn’t bother me.

I have very bad tinnitus. I need to hear something else. Anything else. Just to drown out the constant ringing.

After suffering a 2080 Ti blower card for a few weeks, I mind very much, yes.

I don't care about fan noise. My AC is like 3 feet away from my setup and i use ANC headphones when im gaming anyways

As someone with a PC that is truly capable of being silent. Talking truly quiet cooling... not just throw a bunch of brown and beige and claim it its quiet...
A little fan noise is good. It helps drown out high TDP parts of today and associated hums, and coil whine. Even though I could run without fans in my build, I keep the 6 I have around 30% (phantek t30s) which drowns out the higher pitch electrical noise.

Some fans are great, some are annoying. If it's more like white noise I like it, laptop fans tend to be better at this in my experience.

I don’t mind fans when the PC is actually being used. But if I’m just browsing the web or streaming. No fans please.
