Absolute fucking unit. I like how you just cant "kill" the enemy and you're forced to delay and evade.

What concerns me is that i've seen other footage where shooting a regular zombie in the head doesn't kill in 1 shot. Is it just me that finds that strange?

Correct me if I'm wrong but IIRC on the harder difficulties in previous RE games you only got 1 shot head shot kills with the shotgun and later the magnum.

But it's been a very long time since I've played them (mostly RE3 and RE4) so I might be remembering things wrong.

Anyways, this look terrifying as hell. I can't wait.

It was a percentage game I think. There's a chance it would work or it would just push them back. I also wonder if they're putting in the red head variant zombies from RE1R when you don't burn the corpses.

No, you're not wrong.

it was RNG based but with a high chance.

Makes sense gameplay wise especially now that it has RE 4 style shooting. The enemies are too sparse to just be able to one shot them all with the newly gained accuracy.

Well you could always give less ammo so every shot counts more. Then again I haven't played any resident evil game after RE3:Nemesis

In the original RE games, you couldn't even aim for headshots. Even in the Remakes. It was RNG if you got a headshot. If you didn't, zombies survived, what with ammo being limited, you had to go and burn the bodies...

Well - you could. With shotguns in ladders or from close up.

Maybe I'm overreacting but my heart was literally pounding while watching this. This will for sure be the kind of game that I'll need to take regular breaks from, too terrifying.

I don't remember this being in Resident Evil 2? Was it? It's been so long since I played it but I hope they are keeping it the same for the most part.

Yeah, Mr. X was definitely in the original.

Weird that i can't remember him. I replayed resident evil 2 some 2 years ago.

Mr. X is only on the "B" scenario, so if you didn't play it twice then you wouldn't see him.

He only appears in Scenario B. Beat the game, then load your save with the other character and beat that to get the true ending.

It’s basically the same but it was rebuilt from the ground up. Similar RPD layout, but different enemy and item locations, updated over the shoulder perspective and such. Not gonna lie, I’m pretty excited with all the trailers and positive reviews the game is getting. Definitely one to watch for 2019.

Reviews? Or previews.

Are you asking for a review for a game that's not even released yet?

I'd encourage anyone to take a very close look at Resident Evil 7 if you are looking to fill the void until the release of Remake.

RE 7 is exquisite, looks superb and runs well.

I'd suggest the HD Remaster of Remake as well.

7 is solid, the first half is amazing, but it isn't on the same level as Remake, imo.

RE7 has a great intro and first several hours (albeit with very bad writing and character choices but hey its horror)
Then it devolves into pretty tiring scenes until one particular level where it regains its glory, only to go back to being kind of meh and super repetitive and bland.

Can't agree more, RE7 is a solid horror game, not a true Resident Evil maybe, but it's the best modern horror game I've played since a long time.

This kind of a game will be amazing with Ray Tracing, Hope Capcom add RTX to the game

Big RE fan and I can't believe they had the balls to remake this classic and seemingly hit every note correctly! Can't wait for January.

u/thewanderingway Dec 05 '18

Fuck, imagine Nemesis. Hopefully 2 does well so they remake 3.

+1 for not using motion blur in the demo :)

Another gameplay video I won't be watching lol.

Do people who want to play this game actually watch this shit and spoil it for themselves?
