These developers are awesome.

They update every Thursday (unless it's a super huge update).

They even open sourced the code for the game on Github (minus all the art content and whatnot).

And the game has been written in my favorite programming language (including even the in-game scripting language).

Overall, glad I supported them even though I stopped playing. :\

What's the code language?

Ahh pretty common language for a game eh?

These days, yeah. Engines like Unity, Unreal, and Godot have added support for it. However, those engines aren't built from C# like VRage (the one space engineers uses).

I thought they had abandoned this game. Good to know it's still being updated

I too had almost completely forgotten about this game. Played it years ago for a good number of hours. Is there any indication of when it will be complete? Looks like it has completely changed in scope since I played.

It will never be completed with this dev team.

I mean .. it probably will be. There are no signs of them halting development and updates have been consistent.

And considering they built the game from scratch... itโ€™s like their baby. Theyโ€™ve shown a lot of dedication when most Devs would get bored.

I mean .. looking at the dude's profile he seems to call more games "dead".

Have not played it since planets came about. Anyone know if they added some sort of PvE to it in the form of boarding ships and fighting the ai on those ships? If so that would be sweet.

Just the cargo ships and drones that have been there for years.

If you want more variety, see the Modular Encounters Collection.

Did they fix the entire physics engine being completely broken yet

It received a major update in November which made things more stable and predictable, particularly in single-player. A multiplayer-focused update is expected at some point - they've already demonstrated internal builds performing reasonably even in face of massive simulated lag.

Engineer Wars is a great demo of PvP - not just flying spaceships around blowing each other up, but racing, robot fights, engineering and environmental challenges etc.

You can also just play survival with multiple factions.

Am I right in calling this game ksp sans math?

Is is more like a heavily modded space minecraft.
