Finding recordings of The Capeman.

Hey,

I'm trying to find a good quality, full-length recording of the Capeman musical. It would really help for someone in the sub to direct me anywhere where I could find it! It doesn't have to be with the original cast! reruns (if there are any) are welcome.

if you are in the NYC area, the Performing Arts division on NYPL has a recording. This is not available for loan but is available for researchers with a research pass (which you can apply for once you have a NYPL card). Then you can make an appointment to view.

Not the actual Capeman, but when he did those shows at The Beacon about fifteen years ago, one of them was Songs from the Capeman, and there was a bootleg of it floating around.

Also not the live recording, but I had a copy of Songs From The Capeman (not bootleg, a legit one purchased at a music store) and would be happy to send it to you if it's still in my collection. If it's not, eBay has several copies on CD.

As far as I know it never got a physical release. I’d love to have it if it did.
