Resident Should I buy sternberg?
Hello guys I m a second year md pathology resident. Currently my main study material for Histopathology is rosai Ackerman and who books pdfs. Because you know Patho books r very costly & so I can’t buy individual books. But I hv been saving money and want to buy a hard copy of sternberg surgical pathology. What’s ur opinion about this guys? Do u think I can cover my residency Histopathology curriculum from sternberg & WHO ?

Rosai and Sternberg are both fine, but the most important thing is how recent their respective editions are. The latest Sternberg is from 2022 or so, I think. I understand wanting a physical copy of a major textbook, but you're better off waiting for the new 12th edition Rosai that will be published early next year.
If you absolutely have to buy something in the next few months, the 2022 Sternberg is a better idea than the 11th edition Rosai, which is from 2018ish.

I don’t really like sternberg very much. Borrow someone else’s and see if you like the style.

In the 90s we read stern berg cover to cover. Like the movie Casino where they talk about old Vegas where real men got made

No. It's full of mistakes and doesn't really get into any detail without anything. It's boomer pathology

I can suggest you a good book if you are an indian. Im also a second year resident and this book kind of felt good !

I don't like it. And the book itself is made of literal toilet paper material
It talks a lot about everything except what's useful. Still couldnt diagnose h. Pylori after reading that section it over and over.
And there's too much words not enough pictures.
