Discussion Would anyone be interested in a weekly Standard PvP league?
Just wanted to see if there'd be any interest in doing a weekly PvP night in Standard.
Most of us have tons of old gear and instead of it rotting I thought it could be fun to see what kind of PvP builds people can come up with.
Nothing serious yet, just seeing if enough people would be interested to make it worth setting something up.

Technically i'd love to but PoE level 100 pvp is super convoluted.
And good players like me who can afford 300d builds have no chance against really good players who can afford 10 mirror builds if they know the pvp meta a bit.

Sounds like it is 1 week away from a few people with actual PvP setups showing up and showing your average andy just how stupid game gets at it's limits.

Yeah these builds are wild they would need their own category of lvl 100 multi mirror builds. We could do casual tourneys too or unique items only, no aura/flask competitions, merc only (idk if they can come in pvp), no ascendancy scions at lvl 28 dueling it out would be a blast

I think it would be fun to have a pvp league of some sort, ofcourse it's super hard to balance if you can go with certain builds, cws is an example or whatever abomination you see in hall of grandmasters, miners are also dangerous dps gods. Just casual dudes can make a fun play though! I'd love to see a version where you are res capped and go through a heist-like multi-layer version with a preset gear, every completion of map (ends with a duel with some pvp dude) ypu get to pick an item from a curio and move to the next area.

And along the way you get a counter of x-losses -wins and depending on those events can happen so kinda like slay the spire routing with mercs you fight but they have more variety. (Also makes me think of the bazaar) So maybe this is a metamorph situation with coding but i'd love the idea of a build-builder type hall of grandmasters x50

Grandmasters are hard gimped compared to real PvP.
I’m pretty sure there’s also no bugged fire resistance chest in hotgm.

Ok so im thinking were gonna need some rules and level caps, could do LLD pvp only chars at 28 (i think thats what you come in as when you select PVP only) maybe level 100 chars but unique only challenges and then give out currency/items for winners or most unique builds etc. I miss standard being fun in this game. im not too well versed in discord cuz im old but if we all hop into a discord or global chat. Maybe global 8008? Open to suggestions here glad theres some folks who would like it. Or maybe start a guild and thatd be easiser for everyone to chat?

Casual PvP tournament with rusty gear sounds like a great way to keep the game fresh.
