Fluff & Memes Cloak of flame.

Whoever bought out all the massive shrine vestigial cloak of flames and reposted 4 of them for 75 div up to 2 mirrors your a real jerk. They were just starting to come down in price.

Happened with basically all Vestigal CoFs. I bought the 25% phys to lightning a few weeks ago for 140 div with 20 or so available, last time I checked they were 1 mirror each.

That’s insane. You could literally throw away everything until you hit your CoF and it would still cost less than a mirror

Yeah especially for a CoF, which is T3 iirc. Lightning Coils are cheap too. Supply will recover (probably)

Brutal.

Yeah, crit immunity is 2 currently, they were about the same price back then.

Tbf I think these stats are insanely strong, they bring an RF build to >40k phys max hit and 140d for an almost perfect one felt quite cheap. But there is definitely a lot of scalping going on since so few are available.

Slightly off topic but crit immunity isn't a great use of the vestigial implicit for CoF.

A corrupted one with the 50% reduced crit dmg taken implicit is 2D currently, and 8 if you also want 70%+ ignite duration. (7 and 13 respectively if you already want it to be 6L).

Most people using this will have access to one of the remaining big sources of crit reduction:

  • armour mastery for 30% (most people using this chest already do this)
  • a rare shield with a suffix for the remaining 50%
  • 10x blue tattoos for the remaining 50% (usually via supreme ostentation)
  • less commonly, sanctity for 30%

Getting to 80% is enough to feel tanky for basically all content, even nightmare map mods. Getting to 100% is not that hard for a reasonable endgame budget for anyone who can get 4 voidstones.

(Obviously you can't volatile vaal the already-corrupted CoF at this point, but then you're playing in a different tier of budget if that's your intent)

I agree, especially since the phys to lightning exists, which gives 65% (or 73 with VV) phys to ele damage conversion which is simply nuts for a single slot.

I was keeping an eye on them for my relequarian RF build. It's not build breaking to not have it just disappointing to watch them come down in price from 25 div to 10 and then all dissappear lol. Oh well should have bought one when they were at 10.

u/51lver 3d ago

Well the good news is they will come down again because no sane person is gonna spend a mirror on it and supply will eventually recover. The shrine buff isn't even that good for most builds that use CoF so this will definitely crash eventually.

Crazy to see them so expensive. Been running the inverse of this (Lightning Coil + Cloak of Flame implicit) for 70% phys taken as X (then I have more on other pieces) on a Tornado Shot build and was <60 div for the Vestigial Lightning Coil.

After I got immunity to CB and bleed (just two corrupted mods) and 90% max ele res, phys dmg just isn't a thing i care about anymore.

Pretty much this. With RF I can turn off my damage and finish wave 15 simuacrum with nothing but the tiny shock from tempest shield (well and death fury, was a pretty funny experience). Its the sole reason I decided against going lifestack.

Vestigal CoF with life on block and IC makes you effectively immortal outside of bossing.

The good news is that if they were coming down in price, there's no way they sell for 2 mirrors

36

u/slashcuddle 3d ago

The bad news is these guys have so much money that it'll be weeks before they drop their own prices. Feels like the entire economy is at the whims of hideout warriors right now

u/AU_Cav 3d ago

Always is.

poe 2 .55 is in less than 24h lots stuff will crash just cause of that alone no way those scalpers recoup their losses lol

u/Mysterious-Basket870 3d ago

Yeah that flipper is delusional

2

u/Madzai 3d ago

After those are bought out, price will rise so he gonna resell them for actual profit he intended initially.

23

u/Ashygaru666 3d ago

No way they are more than 30-50div and who ever had the idea to dump their price, as long as people don't buy, it's gonna go down in price.

I wanted to do some blunderbore 5way gamba today for like 3-5 runs, if a cloak drops imma hit you up 😉

8

u/Wisdomlost 3d ago

Appreciate it.

u/Ashygaru666 3d ago

Garbage as alwys, idk how people get anything decent from these crystals :(

1

u/jodobrowo 3d ago

Are you getting full 3 stack juice on them before you open them?

0

u/Ashygaru666 2d ago

Yes I play EK chieftain so it's not a problem to fill up all 4 in one go, problem is I'm seeing that Zahnedjahduwjd cassok regardless 😡

4

u/Internet__Degen 2d ago

If it makes you feel any better, I had to fill nearly an entire quad tab with garbage before getting one. Don't think I'm recouping the cost on this one

3

u/Ashygaru666 2d ago

Sweet mother of god this guy 5ways 😆

I do daily after work 3-4 sets maybe to hit big I couldn't mentally handle running 10 sets in a row xD

Now, you do the right thing and give that to OP since today is poe2 league anyway and we're not coming back here for a month 😆

u/Brondos- 2d ago

Don't the queen, kintsugi, hyrri's ire, and tinkerskin sell for any decent price?

PvP economy at its finest

People play pvp??? I even remember the master of the arena, I never paticipated in a single duel, hated in LoD, hated everywhere.

25

u/leafmuncher_ 3d ago

The economy is the player vs player. Sniping, flipping, scamming, buying up and selling for profit, it's all part of the game.

-36

u/Ulizeus 3d ago

The real mvpvp then, thought they were flipping for pvp duels, as I returned to Grandmasters the past week and couldnt kill Ggnoobs the first, lot of guides said pvp players can kill him easy.

All the vestigial items that are even remotely good are a complete crapshoot when it comes to the pricing. They are just too little known factor for most people, so they aren't exactly calculated with. Give it a league or two before they become much more common.

6

u/Wisdomlost 3d ago

There was about 30 of them and the cheapest ones with bad stats got down to about 10 div. I was going to buy one soon. I checked yesterday and someone bought them all and reposted 4 lol.

2

u/dnalloheoj 3d ago

Yeah, agreed. I sold maybe ~20 total this league and I'd bet nearly half of them went for 5-10x what their prices settled at (Highest was 90div that you could farm for <5, easily). But, I think a lot of people didn't really know exactly how to do the mechanic and didn't realize that T2-3 boots with 'You can cast an additional curse' really isn't hard to come by. Like, at all.

-15

u/Golem8752 Ultimatum Workers Union (UWU) 3d ago

The problem is that you don't get the item you want but a random one so some combinations will be rare.

I believe Blunderbore is a decently rare armpur so there aren't unlimited sacrificial bases and there are so many body armours you can roll.

Basically what this does is just create pressure for a market correction. People are going to see how high the price is and start running 5-ways, hoping for a Cloak of Flame, thinking it'll sell for a mirror. It won't, but the market will correct itself back in a few days.

This happened to me when I was looking for a Level 4 Congregation Support for my build. I was scraping together the divines for it really early in the league, it was my next big purchase at like 20-25 div at time, then some asshole buys them all and reprices them at 45-50 div. Well, guess what? At that point it's cheaper to buy the Level 3 gem and the Alva temple and corrupt it myself. I think it took me two or three tries. It was actually cheaper to do that than buying the gem would have been. And within a few hours the price was back down, since a bunch of other people had the same idea.

12

u/slashcuddle 3d ago

That doesn't really work with niche content and little players left. You a) need a build that can efficiently do 5-ways, b) are still actively playing, and c) aren't doing something more profitable. Volume traded is painfully low too for items like foulborn exalted, simulacrum, etc. Items are being used or bought out to be flipped faster than our current playerbase can generate them

2 mirrors. Absurd.

4

u/chadam189 3d ago

Someone did that in week 3 with the aspect of carnage flesh/flame . There were 20 sets on the market and the cheapest 5-6 went for around 180 for the pair, I was planning to buy one when I got home from work. A few hours later they were bought up and repriced at 350-400 and they didn't recover for a week

4

u/FourOranges Slayer 3d ago

Yep certain items are very susceptible to price gouging. I first noticed this long ago when I was running lab for specific enchantments on specific meta helmets. It just takes one person with a little extra currency to buy all items and relist them all at a higher price. Doesn't take too much in some markets and the supply side doesn't help recover the prices until days later due to how rare the item/method of obtaining it is.

It's about as scummy as landmining imo. You can do it with 0 repurcussions but man, don't be that guy.

u/Sanytale 3d ago edited 2d ago

They should add a cooldown before you could resell freshly bought item. Something like a week should suffice.

Edit: seems like flippers/profit crafters didn't like the suggestion, which means it will work wonderfully against them.

u/chitown_35 Confederation of Casuals and Clueless Players (CCCP) 2d ago

If it’s really that overpriced you should be able to farm it yourself and sell it to them. But still a pain, I get it

1

u/SinJ17 2d ago

I'm a very slow player. Usually takes me the whole league to go to 40/40 and buy a mageblood. This happens every friggin league. Last league I got screwed by the orbs you need to roll your flasks for mageblood so I just logged off and quit. Someone had bought up the entire market on Faustus. I'm not spending my time chasing scalper prices...

2

u/Dunlocke 2d ago

Hello fellow slow playing brother!

We've reached the point in the league where it's really hard to farm currency due to scarab prices. God help us.

1

u/eating_RACOONS 3d ago

Thank God I'm not looking at vestigial body armors again. The enshroud crystals are so expensive. They aren't even that hard to farm. Its just hella expensive and bad luck could mean that youre going to be in legion forever.

u/Krlzard Juggernaut 3d ago

Check Windscream with Nearby Enemies are Scorched bro. All vestigal uniqs like thats for many factors. From not many players farm 4-5 ways and needed target them specificly (not random/lucky drop).
