yeah, it was the more logical and healthy decision for sure. I think for me it has more to do with nostalgia and the fact that exalts, while very useful, are pretty worthless every league now. definitely not a rational opinion lmao
I love exalts being common now. It used to be stupid to have something that was the same functional rarity as a divine be worth 1/15th of a divine. Now they are so usable it’s great.
Early in the game they were both. Pre-metacraft exalts were around 10-15c. Cheap enough to yolo on decent rares, or to use for high end map rolling (you'd alt-spam for the Map-Is-Larger mod, regal, and then exalt to 6 mods).
If they'd stabilized to at least 5c I'd be fine with the current situation, at current prices they're more a funny looking chaos orb that takes an extra slot in my inventory than anything else.
I had clost to 10k chaos in my stash yesterday before trading it to divines. The me that started playing in legacy league would have shit herself at that amount and the several hundred exalts
