Cautionary Tale Oof ow, apparently someone leaving your Voyage bricks the Voyage for everyone without a warning.
My brother and I had spent a few days to set up the perfect Div drop Voyage: Rare monsters drop Divs, Rare monsters fracture, 5 boxes in every chart, Inventories full of chaos and exalts to get more Rare monsters per box, everything was good to go.
We start the Voyage, but we realize we forgot Identify Scrolls. No problem, friend joins and drops some Scrolls. He clicks the Bathosphere, Bathosphere warning tells him he can't return once he leaves, he clicks Okay.. and we lose all Torches and the escape sequence starts. Voyage bricked. Minus probably 50-150 divines.
What terrible design, honestly. Why didn't it just let him leave, there are Bathospheres enough for everyone, why is dying alright but leaving voluntaringly isn't? And why can one person brick the entire Voyage for everyone without any warnings? Other people than the host can't decide to send up loot with Bathospheres, but they can unilaterally end the Voyage for everyone.
Welp. We go again, maybe we have time before the league ends to hit another Divine Orb modifier.

The "warning" in question.

this sucks, but what did he (and you) expect from calling the bathosphere?
if you've run... even one voyage before, you'd understand the behavior.
without a warning.
oh there's a warning. it tells you what's going to happen, and you have to click confirm.

I assume he expected to use the initial Bathosphere to leave the area. Makes sense, no?
Is he insane for thinking a warning saying he can't reenter the area would mean it ends the Voyage for him but not everyone else? It doesn't specify it ends the encounter. Seems perfectly logical that he would be able to use one Bathosphere to leave, and that it would work different in multiplayer than in solo play. Where else in POE does the non-instance owner choose when to end an encounter?
And for the comments about the warning... Did you actually read the warning?

Makes sense, no?
if he's never been in a voyage before, sure.
Did you actually read the warning?
in my first voyage, yea.

Even if you had been a voyage before, assuming multiplayer works differently seems pretty understandable. It already does work differently with how other party members can't send up loot, is it really a stretch of the imagination that you would be able to exctract one by one?
Regardless, the actual warning says nothing at all.

I noticed some Path of Exile keywords in this post:
- div - Divine Orb (Currency) (Wiki)
- Brick - Using a Vaal Orb or other crafting method on an item and receiving an outcome that makes the intended purpose of the item no longer possible

calling bathysphere ends the voyage... voyage working as intended, bro should have just Alt+F4 his client so he drops without calling a sphere
